Fetch one Pinterest Pin from a /pin/ link with its numeric ID, returning media, outbound link and domain, alt text, dominant color, board and engagement counts. Board links are rejected here, and the outbound site is neither crawled nor licensed.

Pinterest Pin details reads one Pin from its link and returns its title and description, the image or video, the outbound link in external_link with its source_domain, the repin, reaction, comment and share counts, the image's alt_text and dominant_color, the board it was saved to, the author and the publish time. It answers how a single Pin is built and how far it has traveled, for marketers checking their own or a competitor's Pins, merchants seeing which sites Pins send people to, and analysts filling in details for Pin links gathered elsewhere.

Pass a link that contains /pin/ followed by the numeric Pin ID, such as https://www.pinterest.com/pin/140806234732511/; a board link does not work here. Read repin_count first, since saves are how Pins spread on Pinterest. dominant_color is a hex value you can feed straight into visual analysis, and a null comment_count or share_count means the count was not disclosed, not that it is zero.

Price $1.39 per 1,000 requests ($0.001389 per call). Failed calls and empty results are not charged. Synchronous. For slow jobs add "mode": "async" to the body, take the job_id and poll.

AI prompt

Paste this into your AI assistant. It already holds this endpoint's parameters, response fields and an example request, so the assistant can ask what you need and then write the scraper.

Please help me write a data collection script with the EveryInfra Pinterest Pin details endpoint (pinterest/pin).

Endpoint contract:
- Request: POST https://api.everyinfra.com/api/v1/social with the header Authorization: Bearer <API key>. Read the key from the EVERYINFRA_API_KEY environment variable and never hard-code it.
- In the request body, set platform to pinterest and action to pin, and put the parameters inside params.
- Required parameters:
  - url: Specifies the target URL for Pinterest requests. The pin action requires a pin URL containing /pin/NUMERIC_ID/, whereas board_detail requires a board link in the format /username/boardname/ (or its relative path).
- Returns one object. Main fields: id, url, title, text, image_url, video_url, media_type, external_link, source_domain, reaction_count, repin_count, comment_count; 20 fields in total, full list at https://api.everyinfra.com/api/v1/social/catalog?platform=pinterest.
- Example request body:
{
  "platform": "pinterest",
  "action": "pin",
  "params": {
    "url": "https://www.pinterest.com/pin/140806234732511/"
  }
}
- Price: $1.39 per 1,000 requests; failed and empty results are not charged.
- For dozens or hundreds of targets, add "mode": "async" to the body: you get a job_id at once and poll GET https://api.everyinfra.com/api/v1/jobs/{job_id} for the result.
- On 422, fix the request using the suggested parameter names and allowed values in the error; on 429 or 503, wait for Retry-After and try again.

Before writing code, ask me which targets I need, how many, which fields, and what output format I want; then confirm the plan and the rough cost with me.

Real response

Captured September 26, 2026 at 08:56 (UTC) by calling this API with the parameters in the code sample above. results and count are that call's real response with personal information (names, handles, avatars, profile links, contact details) removed. id, billing and quota differ on every call, so only their shape is shown.

Response fields

Business data is in results. The table lists the fields a record can contain; values the platform does not show are never made up.

FieldMeaning
idThe record's unique ID on the platform. Unique only within one platform; IDs can repeat across platforms.
urlLink to the record on the platform.
titleTitle. null when the platform has no titles (for example text-only posts).
textBody text with HTML removed, returned in full and never cut short (on a few platforms the list results themselves carry only an excerpt; the platform's field notes say so).
image_urlImage link. Capabilities with several images may return an image_urls array.
video_urlKeeps the platform's own meaning
media_typeKeeps the platform's own meaning
external_linkKeeps the platform's own meaning
source_domainKeeps the platform's own meaning
reaction_countKeeps the platform's own meaning
repin_countKeeps the platform's own meaning
comment_countComments. null means not disclosed, not 0.
share_countShares. null means not disclosed, not 0.
dominant_colorKeeps the platform's own meaning
alt_textKeeps the platform's own meaning
posted_atPublish time in ISO 8601, UTC (for example 2026-08-07T12:34:56+00:00). Non-standard strings from the platform are passed through as is, so parse defensively. null means the platform does not disclose it.
author_usernameAuthor's username (@handle), usually usable in URLs.
author_nameAuthor's display name.
board_nameKeeps the platform's own meaning
pricePrice as a number without a currency symbol; see currency.
platformSource platform identifier, the same as platform in the request (for example xiaohongshu, tiktok).

FAQ

Which link should I pass as url?

A Pin link whose path contains /pin/ and the numeric Pin ID, such as https://www.pinterest.com/pin/140806234732511/. Board links shaped like /username/board-name/ are not Pins and do not work in Pin details; read them with the Pinterest Board details capability, which accepts that board link or its relative path.

What does repin_count measure?

How many times the Pin has been saved again, or repinned, which is Pinterest's core measure of how content spreads. Read it next to reaction_count and comment_count: a Pin with many repins and few comments is being collected for later rather than discussed.

Where does a Pin send people who click it?

external_link is the outside address the Pin points to, and source_domain is the domain of the content's source. Grouping Pins by source_domain shows which websites a set of Pins drives people to, whether you are tracking your own site's presence on Pinterest or a competitor's.

Errors and billing

401
Missing or invalid key. Authentication runs before parameter checks, so unauthenticated requests never see the parameter schema.
422
Wrong parameter name or value. The error lists the parameters and allowed values this capability accepts and the closest match; it happens before any charge.
402
Insufficient balance. Top up first.
429
The account's per-minute request limit was reached (all of its API keys count together; a key's own lower limit applies first). Wait for Retry-After and try again; a rate package in the console raises the limit.
503
Could not complete right now. Any charge for the call goes back to your balance automatically, and the billing receipt in the response states the actual outcome, including when it is not yet known. Do not resend blindly.
200 empty
The request completed without data and is not charged (billing.reason = empty_result_refunded).
