What do the Taobao search parameters mean?
Search Taobao and Tmall listings by keyword for price, units sold, rating, shop, ship-from location and coupon or discount details. Default and relevance sorts allow up to 20 results, while popular, price_desc and tmall_only cap a request at 10; stock, authenticity and delivery are not confirmed.
keywordRequired- Specifies the Taobao or Tmall product search term for the search action. It does not perform an exact search by store name.
max_priceOptional- Sets the maximum item price filter for the search action in combination with min_price. It does not control SKU inventory limits.
min_priceOptional- Sets the minimum item price filter for the search action. It is not a review score filter or an API fee parameter, and it does not apply to shop, product_detail, reviews, or questions.
sortOptional- For product search, use relevance (default), popular, or price_desc. Default and relevance searches allow up to 20 results; popular and price_desc allow up to 10. Requests above the applicable limit are rejected before charging, and price_asc is not supported. What can I retrieve with the Taobao API?
Set platform to taobao. The current catalog lists search, product details, shop, reviews, and questions. These action names identify different Taobao objects or views; they are not interchangeable search modes.
Does Taobao have an official API?
Taobao Open Platform serves software vendors, service partners and brands that build tools for Taobao and Tmall merchants. Store data such as products and orders is read with an access token the seller grants by authorizing the app, and buyer-facing apps get the Taobao affiliate (Taobaoke) product APIs instead.

Do I need a Taobao developer account or API key?
No. Requests go through EveryInfra with an EveryInfra API key: sign up, create a key in the console and send it as Authorization: Bearer <API_KEY>. You do not register a Taobao developer app, apply for Taobao API access or sign in with a Taobao account, and the actions return public Taobao data only.
How much does the Taobao API cost per 1,000 requests?
$1.39 per 1,000 requests, depending on the action; each action's price is listed in the table on this page and in the public catalog. There is no subscription: you top up a USD balance and pay per call, and failed calls and empty results are not charged.
Which input starts a Taobao `search` request?
Specifies the Taobao or Tmall product search term for the search action. It does not perform an exact search by store name. Send it as keyword inside params.
Which fields can Taobao `search` return?
Its declared schema includes title, price, currency, and sold_count. A declared field can still be absent from an individual record, and every other action has its own field list.
Does every Taobao action return immediately?
Actions labeled asynchronous return a job ID you poll. Every other action can also run asynchronously: add "mode": "async" to the request body to receive a job ID immediately, useful for slow tasks or large limits. The current catalog contains sync delivery.
