What does each Amazon action accept?

Each answer below pairs one callable action with its real inputs. Parameter meanings and allowed values are action-specific; a familiar name does not carry the same meaning across every platform.

Official sources are linked only to clarify the platform term beside them. They do not imply platform authorization or endorsement, and they do not add official-site features to the EveryInfra API contract.

What do the Amazon search parameters mean?

keywordRequired
Specifies the primary search string according to the requested Amazon action. In search, pass the product search terms. In bestsellers, pass a full Amazon bestsellers category URL or a category short name used to build the path. In sellers, pass a product or seller page URL; raw search terms generate a product search page rather than looking up a seller ID directly.
domainOptional
Specifies the Amazon country domain without a scheme or path, such as amazon.com, amazon.co.uk, or amazon.co.jp. The search action uses this value to build search URLs, while reviews uses it to select the target review store. It defaults to amazon.com, but non-US review requests should explicitly supply the domain that matches the product URL.
langOptional
Specifies the page language for supported Amazon endpoints using valid codes such as en or ja. Use zhcn for Simplified Chinese and zhtw for Traditional Chinese instead of a generic zh code. Requests accept only the language codes listed for the action, and selecting a language alters the rendered content rather than changing the target country store.

urlRequired
Specifies an Amazon product URL, such as https://www.amazon.com/dp/<ASIN>. The reviews action extracts a 10-character uppercase alphanumeric ASIN from /dp/, /gp/product/, or /product-reviews/ paths; store homepages are not supported. For this parameter, profile fetches the product details page rather than user profile data.

Amazon API questions

What can I retrieve with the Amazon API?

Set platform to amazon. The current catalog lists search, product details, reviews, bestsellers, and sellers. These action names identify different Amazon objects or views; they are not interchangeable search modes.

Does Amazon have an official API?

Amazon's Product Advertising API 5.0 has been deprecated in favor of the Creators API, which is available to Amazon Associates with at least 10 qualifying sales in the past 30 days. The Selling Partner API serves sellers, vendors and the developers they authorize, and covers their own business data such as orders and inventory.

Official sources: Amazon Associates: PA-API 5.0 deprecation · Amazon Associates: Creators API introduction · Amazon: what is the Selling Partner API · Checked

Do I need a Amazon developer account or API key?

No. Requests go through EveryInfra with an EveryInfra API key: sign up, create a key in the console and send it as Authorization: Bearer <API_KEY>. You do not register a Amazon developer app, apply for Amazon API access or sign in with a Amazon account, and the actions return public Amazon data only.

How much does the Amazon API cost per 1,000 requests?

$1.39 per 1,000 requests, depending on the action; each action's price is listed in the table on this page and in the public catalog. There is no subscription: you top up a USD balance and pay per call, and failed calls and empty results are not charged.

Which input starts a Amazon `search` request?

Specifies the primary search string according to the requested Amazon action. In search, pass the product search terms. In bestsellers, pass a full Amazon bestsellers category URL or a category short name used to build the path. In sellers, pass a product or seller page URL; raw search terms generate a product search page rather than looking up a seller ID directly. Send it as keyword inside params.

Which fields can Amazon `search` return?

Its declared schema includes asin, title, brand, and price. A declared field can still be absent from an individual record, and every other action has its own field list.

Does every Amazon action return immediately?

Actions labeled asynchronous return a job ID you poll. Every other action can also run asynchronously: add "mode": "async" to the request body to receive a job ID immediately, useful for slow tasks or large limits. The current catalog contains sync delivery.
