What does each Weibo action accept?
Each answer below pairs one callable action with its real inputs. Parameter meanings and allowed values are action-specific; a familiar name does not carry the same meaning across every platform.
Official sources are linked only to clarify the platform term beside them. They do not imply platform authorization or endorsement, and they do not add official-site features to the EveryInfra API contract.

What do the Weibo search parameters mean?
Find Weibo posts mentioning a keyword, up to 50 per call, with text, posting device, repost, comment and like counts, and the author's followers and verification. Use is_repost to separate reposts from original posts; full coverage of a time period is not guaranteed.
keywordRequired- Specifies the search term for public posts in the search action. The trending action does not use a keyword parameter and returns current hot search topics rather than user posts.
What do the Weibo profile parameters mean?
Look up a Weibo user by numeric UID or /u/ profile link and get display name, bio, gender, follower, following and post counts, and any verification note. Handles are not accepted, the badge does not vouch for the person, and follower lists are not included.
Full API reference: parameters, code samples, response example and health →user_idRequired- Specifies the target Weibo user via their numeric UID or a profile URL containing /u/numeric_UID for the profile action. Username handles are not supported, and profile metadata does not include a full list of the user's posts.Weibo: Definitions of UID, Nickname, and Followed Counts — Official Weibo documentation defines `uid` / `screen_name` as user ID / nickname, `friends_count` as followed count, and `followers_count` as follower count. Nickname query options in official APIs do not mean the `user_id` on this page supports nickname resolution; field returns remain strictly subject to the platform contract and actual results. · Checked
What do the Weibo comments parameters mean?
Read comments on a Weibo post, up to 50 per call, with text, likes, commenter and time. Pass a /detail/ link or the numeric post ID; short links containing letters do not work, and the full reply tree is not promised.
Full API reference: parameters, code samples, response example and health →urlRequired- Specifies the post URL or numeric post ID for the comments action. Format as /detail/NUMERIC_POST_ID or pass the numeric ID directly. Short links that contain letters are not supported.Weibo: Conversion Guidelines for Base62 MIDs and Numeric IDs — Legacy Weibo developer documentation separates MID from numeric ID and specifies that letter-containing MIDs use base62 encoding. This reference only cites identifier differences and does not guarantee the legacy API is callable; `comments` on this page lack automatic conversion capabilities, so links using numeric post IDs are preferred. · Checked
What do the Weibo trending parameters mean?
Pull Weibo's current hot search list, up to 200 entries, each with rank, topic, category, heat value, badge and hot or new flags. hot_value is Weibo's own measure and only comparable within the list; no history is kept, so store snapshots yourself.
This action has no business parameters. Send only the platform and action identifiers.

What can I retrieve with the Weibo API?
Set platform to weibo. The current catalog lists search, profiles, comments, and trending. These action names identify different Weibo objects or views; they are not interchangeable search modes.
Does Weibo have an official API?
Weibo Open Platform still accepts developer registration, but its standard OAuth APIs return data only for the authorizing user; the single-post and comment endpoints, for example, only return that user's posts and comments. Keyword search and real-time subscriptions are part of a separate Commercial Data API for enterprise developers, parts of which are paid.

Do I need a Weibo developer account or API key?
No. Requests go through EveryInfra with an EveryInfra API key: sign up, create a key in the console and send it as Authorization: Bearer <API_KEY>. You do not register a Weibo developer app, apply for Weibo API access or sign in with a Weibo account, and the actions return public Weibo data only.
How much does the Weibo API cost per 1,000 requests?
$0.56 per 1,000 requests, depending on the action; each action's price is listed in the table on this page and in the public catalog. There is no subscription: you top up a USD balance and pay per call, and failed calls and empty results are not charged.
Which input starts a Weibo `search` request?
Specifies the search term for public posts in the search action. The trending action does not use a keyword parameter and returns current hot search topics rather than user posts. Send it as keyword inside params.
Which fields can Weibo `search` return?
Its declared schema includes text, posted_at, device, and repost_count. A declared field can still be absent from an individual record, and every other action has its own field list.
Does every Weibo action return immediately?
Actions labeled asynchronous return a job ID you poll. Every other action can also run asynchronously: add "mode": "async" to the request body to receive a job ID immediately, useful for slow tasks or large limits. The current catalog contains sync delivery.
