What does each Dice action accept?

Each answer below pairs one callable action with its real inputs. Parameter meanings and allowed values are action-specific; a familiar name does not carry the same meaning across every platform.

Official sources are linked only to clarify the platform term beside them. They do not imply platform authorization or endorsement, and they do not add official-site features to the EveryInfra API contract.

keywordRequired
Specifies the job search term on Dice, such as software developer. Matches tech position job titles and descriptions rather than company IDs or applicant names.
locationOptional
Filters job listings by geographic location text, such as New York, NY, defaulting to Remote. The Remote filter applies search location criteria and does not guarantee that an employer accepts international remote applicants.
Dice: Job Searches and Work Arrangement Filtering — Dice distinguishes On-Site, Remote, and Hybrid positions, corresponding to on-site work, jobs marked as fully remote, and roles combining remote and on-site work. Filtering capabilities on the site do not automatically map to an identically named parameter on this endpoint. · Checked
posted_dateOptional
Filters job listings by posting recency: all (default), 24h, 3d, 7d, or 30d. Sets a relative publishing window rather than an application deadline or a YYYY-MM-DD date value.

Dice API questions

What can I retrieve with the Dice API?

Set platform to dice. The current catalog lists search. These action names identify different Dice objects or views; they are not interchangeable search modes.

Which input starts a Dice `search` request?

Specifies the job search term on Dice, such as software developer. Matches tech position job titles and descriptions rather than company IDs or applicant names. Send it as keyword inside params.

Which fields can Dice `search` return?

Its declared schema includes title, company_name, location, and posted_at. A declared field can still be absent from an individual record, and every other action has its own field list.

Does every Dice action return immediately?

Actions labeled asynchronous return a job ID you poll. Every other action can also run asynchronously: add "mode": "async" to the request body to receive a job ID immediately, useful for slow tasks or large limits. The current catalog contains sync delivery.
