What does each Eventbrite action accept?

Each answer below pairs one callable action with its real inputs. Parameter meanings and allowed values are action-specific; a familiar name does not carry the same meaning across every platform.

Official sources are linked only to clarify the platform term beside them. They do not imply platform authorization or endorsement, and they do not add official-site features to the EveryInfra API contract.

keywordRequired
Defines the city directory slug (for example, ny--new-york) rather than full-text event title keywords. The search action queries events by city and does not include online events; providing city or location overrides this input value, though keyword remains required.
Eventbrite: Sold out, cancelled, and postponed status distinctions — Eventbrite tracks Sold Out, Cancelled, and Postponed as distinct event statuses, and manually marking an event as sold out does not alter overall venue capacity. Consequently, is_sold_out is neither a cancellation indicator nor proof of remaining ticket inventory, and this endpoint cannot modify event status or process refunds. · Checked
cityOptional
Specifies the Eventbrite city path slug (for example, ny--new-york). It takes precedence over location and keyword. It accepts valid path identifiers only, without https:// or /d/ prefixes, and does not accept generic localized city names.
locationOptional
Serves as a compatibility alternative to city using the same city slug format. It is evaluated only when city is omitted and takes precedence over keyword. It does not accept street addresses or geographic coordinates.

Eventbrite API questions

What can I retrieve with the Eventbrite API?

Set platform to eventbrite. The current catalog lists search. These action names identify different Eventbrite objects or views; they are not interchangeable search modes.

Which input starts a Eventbrite `search` request?

Defines the city directory slug (for example, ny--new-york) rather than full-text event title keywords. The search action queries events by city and does not include online events; providing city or location overrides this input value, though keyword remains required. Send it as keyword inside params.

Which fields can Eventbrite `search` return?

Its declared schema includes title, text, category, and format. A declared field can still be absent from an individual record, and every other action has its own field list.

Does every Eventbrite action return immediately?

Actions labeled asynchronous return a job ID you poll. Every other action can also run asynchronously: add "mode": "async" to the request body to receive a job ID immediately, useful for slow tasks or large limits. The current catalog contains sync delivery.
