What does each Facebook action accept?
Each answer below pairs one callable action with its real inputs. Parameter meanings and allowed values are action-specific; a familiar name does not carry the same meaning across every platform.
Official sources are linked only to clarify the platform term beside them. They do not imply platform authorization or endorsement, and they do not add official-site features to the EveryInfra API contract.

What do the Facebook search parameters mean?
Search Facebook posts by keyword and get each post's text, author, likes, comments, shares and post time, with an optional date range. content_type sorts by newest or most popular rather than filtering media, and private messages are not searched.
keywordRequired- Specifies the search query for distinct platform endpoints. For search, it searches public posts; for ads, it accepts ad keywords or direct Ad Library and Page URLs; for marketplace, it accepts item search terms or complete Marketplace search URLs. Each action queries a different dataset rather than returning the same results under different field names.
content_typeOptional- Sorts results for the search action using allowed values latest for newer posts or most_popular for popular posts. Despite its name, content_type acts as a sorting dimension and does not filter by media format, such as images or videos.Allowed values:
latestmost_popularFacebook: Boundaries of Public Posts and Public Information — Facebook help documentation defines the visibility of public shares, Page posts, and comments on public posts. This clarifies the objects addressed by search; it does not endorse `content_type` ranking values or show that publicly visible information is authorized for automated collection. · Checked sinceOptional- Filters post publication dates for the search action from this start date, recommended in YYYY-MM-DD format. Combined with until, it forms the query date range; it does not filter ad run times or comment creation times.
untilOptional- Filters post publication dates for the search action up to this end date, recommended in YYYY-MM-DD format. Combined with since, it forms the query date range; it does not control ad expiration dates.
What do the Facebook profile parameters mean?
Get a Facebook Page or public profile from its url, including category, bio, likes, followers, verification badge and any contact details it shows. Phone and email are only what the page displays; they do not verify identity or permit their use.
urlRequired- Specifies the target URL corresponding to the requested action. Use public Page URLs for profile and user_posts, post URLs for post and comments, group page URLs or group identifiers for group_posts, and business page URLs for reviews (which appends /reviews). Arbitrary Facebook URLs cannot be interchanged across actions.Facebook Official: Public Visibility of Page Profiles, Posts, and Comments — Official Meta documentation discusses public details across Pages, profiles, posts, and comments; this definition of visibility does not guarantee that every URL can be read, that every field will be returned, or that this endpoint holds Meta access authorization. · CheckedMeta Official Documentation: Automated Data Collection Requires Prior Permission — Meta explicitly states that automated collection of Facebook data without prior permission violates its terms, even for publicly visible data. Citing authoritative sources does not constitute proof of authorization for platform collection or reuse. · Checked
What do the Facebook user_posts parameters mean?
List posts from a Facebook Page or account at url, each with text, author, post time and like, comment and share counts. The results are not necessarily the complete timeline.
urlRequired- Specifies the target URL corresponding to the requested action. Use public Page URLs for profile and user_posts, post URLs for post and comments, group page URLs or group identifiers for group_posts, and business page URLs for reviews (which appends /reviews). What do the Facebook post parameters mean?
Fetch one Facebook post from its url with text, author, post time and like, comment and share counts. Comments, detailed reactions and private content are not included; use comments for the thread.
urlRequired- Specifies the target URL corresponding to the requested action. What do the Facebook comments parameters mean?
Pull comments on a Facebook post from its url, each with author, author ID, likes, reply count, post time and permalink. Rebuild threads with depth and reply_to_id, since reply rows reuse the parent group's ID; a complete tree is not guaranteed.
urlRequired- Specifies the target URL corresponding to the requested action. What do the Facebook followers parameters mean?
Check follower, following, post and like counts for a Facebook account or Page by username, with a precision flag for approximate values. It returns totals only, not a list of individual followers.
usernameRequired- Specifies the Facebook account or Page identifier without an @ symbol for the followers action. This capability returns a total follower count object rather than an exported list of individual follower profiles or a user relationship graph.Facebook: Following a Page Is Distinct from Liking It — Official Facebook documentation explains that Follow is used to receive Page updates and notes differences for Pages transitioning from Like to Follow structures; this differentiates `follower_count` from `like_count`, but does not indicate that this platform can export follower lists. · Checked
channelOptional- This parameter is used for compatibility with the account identifier in the followers action. If username is supplied, it takes precedence, and public requests must still include the required username parameter. This parameter does not represent a chat channel ID.
What do the Facebook ads parameters mean?
Find ads in the Facebook Ad Library by keyword or Ad Library URL, with ad copy, call to action, landing page, run dates, placements and advertiser. Narrow by country and status; spend, impressions, targeting and conversions are not included.
keywordRequired- Specifies the search query for distinct platform endpoints. For search, it searches public posts; for ads, it accepts ad keywords or direct Ad Library and Page URLs; for marketplace, it accepts item search terms or complete Marketplace search URLs. Each action queries a different dataset rather than returning the same results under different field names.Meta Official: Ads and Page Search Objects in the Ad Library — Historical Meta announcements introduce searching ads by keyword or Page and highlight transparency data differences between general active ads and political or issue ads, along with official API requirements; this does not imply that all ads include spend, impressions, or complete history, as this endpoint does not offer those stable fields. · Checked
countryOptional- Specifies the country code for keyword queries in the ads action, such as US (defaults to US). Values are converted to uppercase when constructing request URLs. If keyword is provided as a complete URL, the parameters embedded in that URL take precedence and this country setting is not applied.
statusOptional- Filters ad page status with allowed values: all (default), active (currently running), or inactive (stopped). This represents ad delivery status rather than ad review status. When keyword is an Ad Library URL, its embedded active_status may differ from this parameter; keep the two consistent.
What do the Facebook group_posts parameters mean?
Read posts from a Facebook group by group url or identifier, with text, author, post time and like, comment and share counts. sort picks top posts or recent activity, which follows activity rather than creation time; full coverage is not guaranteed.
urlRequired- Specifies the target URL corresponding to the requested action. Use public Page URLs for profile and user_posts, post URLs for post and comments, group page URLs or group identifiers for group_posts, and business page URLs for reviews (which appends /reviews). Arbitrary Facebook URLs cannot be interchanged across actions.Meta Official: Historical Private Content Remains Protected When Groups Change to Public — Official Meta documentation notes that when a private group switches to public, new content becomes publicly visible while content and member lists from its private phase remain restricted; therefore, a group currently public does not guarantee access to historical posts or complete member lists. · Checked
sortOptional- Specifies post ordering for group_posts using top for top posts or recent for posts with recent activity, defaulting to chronological order if omitted. The recent option is based on activity rather than post creation time alone. Unsupported string values fall back to chronological order instead of returning an error.
What do the Facebook marketplace parameters mean?
Browse Facebook Marketplace listings for an item keyword in one city, with price, currency, city, state, condition, image and post time. location takes a city path such as nyc, the default, not a street address; availability is not confirmed.
keywordRequired- Specifies the search query for distinct platform endpoints. For search, it searches public posts; for ads, it accepts ad keywords or direct Ad Library and Page URLs; for marketplace, it accepts item search terms or complete Marketplace search URLs. Each action queries a different dataset rather than returning the same results under different field names.
locationOptional- Specifies the city path identifier for marketplace, such as nyc (defaults to nyc). It does not accept free-form street addresses. If keyword contains a complete Marketplace URL, that URL takes precedence and location is ignored.Meta Official: Marketplace Listings and Location Search Bounds — Historical Meta documentation defines Marketplace as a feature for local item listing and discovery, distinguishing item title, price, and location. This only describes those objects; it does not establish native UI filtering options or historical regional availability as current capabilities of this endpoint. · Checked
What do the Facebook reviews parameters mean?
Collect recommendations and reviews from a Facebook Page url, with text, recommend or not, rating where given, author and post time. Facebook uses recommend or not in place of stars, so a missing rating does not void a recommendation.
urlRequired- Specifies the target URL corresponding to the requested action. Use public Page URLs for profile and user_posts, post URLs for post and comments, group page URLs or group identifiers for group_posts, and business page URLs for reviews (which appends /reviews). Arbitrary Facebook URLs cannot be interchanged across actions.Facebook Official Documentation: Page Recommendations and Reviews — Official documentation explains that recommendations are displayed in the Reviews section of a Page and notes that removing violating reviews can alter the Page rating. A Page's overall rating is distinct from an individual recommendation entry, so `is_recommended` cannot be automatically converted into a star rating. · CheckedMeta Official Documentation: Automated Data Collection Requires Prior Permission — Meta explicitly states that automated collection of Facebook data without prior permission violates its terms, even for publicly visible data. How to use the Facebook API
- 01Read the public catalog and choose a platform action.
- 02Send the platform, action, and required parameters to POST /api/v1/social.
- 03Handle a synchronous result, or poll the returned job ID when the action runs asynchronously.
- 04Store the structured response fields needed by your application.
curl -X POST https://api.everyinfra.com/api/v1/social \ -H "Authorization: Bearer YOUR_API_KEY" \ -H "Content-Type: application/json" \ -d '{"platform":"facebook","action":"search","params":{"keyword":"<keyword>"}}'

What can I retrieve with the Facebook API?
Set platform to facebook. The current catalog lists search, details, posts by user, post details, comments, and more. These action names identify different Facebook objects or views; they are not interchangeable search modes.
Does Facebook have an official API?
Yes. Meta's Graph API is the official interface. Reading public posts and comments from Facebook Pages your app does not manage requires the Page Public Content Access feature, which Meta grants only after App Review and business verification; a person's own timeline is available only with that person's permission and for limited uses.

Do I need a Facebook developer account or API key?
No. Requests go through EveryInfra with an EveryInfra API key: sign up, create a key in the console and send it as Authorization: Bearer <API_KEY>. You do not register a Facebook developer app, apply for Facebook API access or sign in with a Facebook account, and the actions return public Facebook data only.
How much does the Facebook API cost per 1,000 requests?
$1.39–$2.78 per 1,000 requests, depending on the action; each action's price is listed in the table on this page and in the public catalog. There is no subscription: you top up a USD balance and pay per call, and failed calls and empty results are not charged.
Which input starts a Facebook `search` request?
Specifies the search query for distinct platform endpoints. For search, it searches public posts; for ads, it accepts ad keywords or direct Ad Library and Page URLs; for marketplace, it accepts item search terms or complete Marketplace search URLs. Each action queries a different dataset rather than returning the same results under different field names. Send it as keyword inside params.
Which fields can Facebook `search` return?
Its declared schema includes text, author_name, author_username, and like_count. A declared field can still be absent from an individual record, and every other action has its own field list.
Does every Facebook action return immediately?
Actions labeled asynchronous return a job ID you poll. Every other action can also run asynchronously: add "mode": "async" to the request body to receive a job ID immediately, useful for slow tasks or large limits. The current catalog contains sync delivery and async delivery.
