What do the Indeed search parameters mean?
Find Indeed job postings for a search term, with employer, location, pay as posted, job type, apply link, expiry status and the employer's rating. Set company_details to true to add employer profiles, which can slow the response and are not always complete.
keywordRequired- Specifies the job search term (e.g., backend engineer) for the search action. This parameter is used strictly for job searches; to query company reviews, salaries, or interviews, use the company parameter instead.
company_detailsOptional- Enables company profile extraction alongside job listings in the search action when set to boolean true. Defaults to false. Enabling this may increase response times, and complete details are not available for all employers. Do not pass the string "false".
countryOptional- Selects the Indeed national domain for the search action. Defaults to US. This parameter accepts country designations rather than specific city names, which belong in the location parameter.
locationOptional- Accepts freeform text for job location filtering in the search action, such as New York, NY. Takes precedence over the compatibility parameter region. This field is freeform text and does not control national domain selection for company endpoints.
regionOptional- This parameter provides the job location for the search action, accepting city or region strings. When both are supplied, location takes precedence. This parameter is not limited to a closed option list.
What do the Indeed profile parameters mean?
Get an employer's Indeed company page from its url with website, description, rating, review count and employee size range. Details are compiled from the company's jobs page, so a company with no active postings may come back incomplete.
urlRequired- Accepts an Indeed company page URL (e.g., /cmp/<company>/) for the profile action, normalizing it to the company's /jobs page to compile profile data from job listings. What can I retrieve with the Indeed API?
Set platform to indeed. The current catalog lists search, details, company reviews, salaries, and interviews. These action names identify different Indeed objects or views; they are not interchangeable search modes.
Which input starts a Indeed `search` request?
Specifies the job search term (e.g., backend engineer) for the search action. This parameter is used strictly for job searches; to query company reviews, salaries, or interviews, use the company parameter instead. Send it as keyword inside params.
Which fields can Indeed `search` return?
Its declared schema includes title, text, company, and company_url. A declared field can still be absent from an individual record, and every other action has its own field list.
Does every Indeed action return immediately?
Actions labeled asynchronous return a job ID you poll. Every other action can also run asynchronously: add "mode": "async" to the request body to receive a job ID immediately, useful for slow tasks or large limits. The current catalog contains sync delivery.
