Collect employee reviews of a company on Indeed, with overall rating, sub-ratings for pay, culture, job security, management and work-life balance, job title and current or former status. until sets an end date only, and the reviews do not necessarily represent the whole workforce.
Indeed Company reviews reads the employee reviews of one employer on Indeed. Each row carries the review title and text, the overall rating, sub-ratings for pay and benefits, culture, job security, management and work-life balance, the reviewer's job title and location, whether they still work there, how many readers marked the review helpful, and the posting date. HR and employer branding teams use it to hear how staff describe a workplace, while recruiters and investors use it to compare employers and watch sentiment change over time.
Name the employer in company with its Indeed short name, such as Microsoft, or a full /cmp/<company>/reviews link. A plain name has its spaces turned into hyphens, so it is not a fuzzy name search; match the spelling of the Indeed company URL. Split results by is_current_employee, where false marks a former employee, and convert rating with rating_scale before you set it beside scores from other review sites.
Price $1.39 per 1,000 requests ($0.001389 per call). Failed calls and empty results are not charged. Synchronous. For slow jobs add "mode": "async" to the body, take the job_id and poll.
AI prompt
Paste this into your AI assistant. It already holds this endpoint's parameters, response fields and an example request, so the assistant can ask what you need and then write the scraper.
Please help me write a data collection script with the EveryInfra Indeed Company reviews endpoint (indeed/company_reviews).
Endpoint contract:
- Request: POST https://api.everyinfra.com/api/v1/social with the header Authorization: Bearer <API key>. Read the key from the EVERYINFRA_API_KEY environment variable and never hard-code it.
- In the request body, set platform to indeed and action to company_reviews, and put the parameters inside params.
- Required parameters:
- company: Accepts an Indeed company short name or full /cmp/<company>/ URL. For company_reviews, pass the /reviews page URL directly.
- Optional parameters:
- until: Sets an upper date limit (recommended format YYYY-MM-DD) for company_reviews. It does not act as a start date.
- limit: The most rows to return in this call, an integer from 1 to 200. The default applies when you leave it out, and a call can return fewer rows. Larger values return 422 before any charge. (default: 20)
- Returns a list of records. Main fields of each record: id, url, title, text, rating, rating_scale, rating_compensation, rating_culture, rating_job_security, rating_management, rating_work_life, job_title; 17 fields in total, full list at https://api.everyinfra.com/api/v1/social/catalog?platform=indeed.
- Example request body:
{
"platform": "indeed",
"action": "company_reviews",
"params": {
"company": "Microsoft"
}
}
- Price: $1.39 per 1,000 requests; failed and empty results are not charged.
- For dozens or hundreds of targets, add "mode": "async" to the body: you get a job_id at once and poll GET https://api.everyinfra.com/api/v1/jobs/{job_id} for the result.
- On 422, fix the request using the suggested parameter names and allowed values in the error; on 429 or 503, wait for Retry-After and try again.
Before writing code, ask me which targets I need, how many, which fields, and what output format I want; then confirm the plan and the rough cost with me.Request parameters
| Name | In | Type | Required | Default | Description |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
Authorization | header | string | Yes | - | Bearer followed by your API key. Create it in the console; never put it in a URL or a code repository. |
platform | body | string | Yes | indeed | Platform identifier, fixed value. |
action | body | string | Yes | company_reviews | Capability identifier, fixed value. |
company | body.params | Not declared | Yes | - | Accepts an Indeed company short name or full /cmp/<company>/ URL. For company_reviews, pass the /reviews page URL directly; for salaries and interviews, the system extracts the entity from the URL and routes to the correct section. Passing a plain company name converts spaces to hyphens rather than executing a fuzzy search. |
until | body.params | Not declared | No | - | Sets an upper date limit (recommended format YYYY-MM-DD) for company_reviews. It does not act as a start date. |
limit | body.params | integer (1–200) | No | 20 | The most rows to return in this call, an integer from 1 to 200. The default applies when you leave it out, and a call can return fewer rows. Larger values return 422 before any charge. |

Response example
Captured September 26, 2026 at 08:56 (UTC) by calling this API with the parameters in the code sample above. results and count are that call's real response with personal information (names, handles, avatars, profile links, contact details) removed; the list keeps the first 2. id, billing and quota differ on every call, so only their shape is shown.

}Response fields
Business data is in results. The table lists the fields a record can contain; values the platform does not show are never made up.
| Field | Meaning |
|---|---|
id | The record's unique ID on the platform. Unique only within one platform; IDs can repeat across platforms. |
url | Link to the record on the platform. |
title | Title. null when the platform has no titles (for example text-only posts). |
text | Body text with HTML removed, returned in full and never cut short (on a few platforms the list results themselves carry only an excerpt; the platform's field notes say so). |
rating | Rating. The scale varies by platform: rating_scale on the same row gives the maximum (usually 5; Booking, Douban, iQIYI and NAVER use 10). Convert with rating_scale before comparing across platforms, or the comparison can come out backwards. |
rating_scale | Maximum of rating in the same row: 5 for five-star scales, 10 for ten-point scales. Present only when the row has a rating. |
rating_compensation | Keeps the platform's own meaning |
rating_culture | Keeps the platform's own meaning |
rating_job_security | Keeps the platform's own meaning |
rating_management | Keeps the platform's own meaning |
rating_work_life | Keeps the platform's own meaning |
job_title | Keeps the platform's own meaning |
location | Location description passed through as is; the format varies by platform. |
country | Country or region: a full name or an ISO code depending on the platform, not normalized. |
is_current_employee | Keeps the platform's own meaning |
helpful_count | Keeps the platform's own meaning |
posted_at | Publish time in ISO 8601, UTC (for example 2026-08-07T12:34:56+00:00). Non-standard strings from the platform are passed through as is, so parse defensively. null means the platform does not disclose it. |
platform | Source platform identifier, the same as platform in the request (for example xiaohongshu, tiktok). |
FAQ
What does until do?
It sets the latest review date to include, ideally written as YYYY-MM-DD, so you get reviews posted up to that date. It is an upper bound, not a start date: to study one period, set until to its last day and drop rows whose posted_at falls before the period begins. The Indeed Salaries and Interviews capabilities have no such date bound.
Am I charged when an employer has no reviews?
No. A call that returns no rows is not charged, so an employer without reviews, or an until date earlier than any review, costs nothing. The price for calls that do return reviews is shown on this page, which is the place to check before you schedule regular pulls for many employers.
How do I compare the sub-ratings?
rating_compensation, rating_culture, rating_job_security, rating_management and rating_work_life are each on a 5-point scale, so they can sit side by side as they are. Average each one over many reviews rather than reading single rows, and split the averages by is_current_employee to see whether current and former staff agree.
Errors and billing
- 401
- Missing or invalid key. Authentication runs before parameter checks, so unauthenticated requests never see the parameter schema.
- 422
- Wrong parameter name or value. The error lists the parameters and allowed values this capability accepts and the closest match; it happens before any charge.
- 402
- Insufficient balance. Top up first.
- 429
- The account's per-minute request limit was reached (all of its API keys count together; a key's own lower limit applies first). Wait for Retry-After and try again; a rate package in the console raises the limit.
- 503
- Could not complete right now. Any charge for the call goes back to your balance automatically, and the billing receipt in the response states the actual outcome, including when it is not yet known. Do not resend blindly.
- 200 empty
- The request completed without data and is not charged (billing.reason = empty_result_refunded).

- Indeed: How to Interpret Company Reviews ↗
Indeed defines company reviews as descriptions of work experiences written by current or former employees, advising readers to consider the review date and specific context. A single experience should not be taken as a universal conclusion for all employees.
