Find Indeed job postings for a search term, with employer, location, pay as posted, job type, apply link, expiry status and the employer's rating. Set company_details to true to add employer profiles, which can slow the response and are not always complete.
Indeed Search looks up job postings on Indeed by keyword and returns each one's title, description, employer, location, pay as posted, job type, posting time, apply link and whether the posting has expired, plus the employer's Indeed rating and review count. It shows which employers are hiring for a role and on what terms. Recruiters and job boards use it to track openings, labor market researchers to compare pay and demand across places, and sales teams to build lists of companies that are hiring.
salary is passed through as Indeed shows it and can be range text rather than a number, so parse it before you compare jobs. company_rating is on a 5-point scale and means little without company_review_count. company_details must be a JSON boolean: true also returns the employer details attached to each job, which usually makes the call slower, and a quoted string such as "false" is not the boolean false.
Price $1.39 per 1,000 requests ($0.001389 per call). Failed calls and empty results are not charged. Synchronous. For slow jobs add "mode": "async" to the body, take the job_id and poll.
AI prompt
Paste this into your AI assistant. It already holds this endpoint's parameters, response fields and an example request, so the assistant can ask what you need and then write the scraper.
Please help me write a data collection script with the EveryInfra Indeed Search endpoint (indeed/search).
Endpoint contract:
- Request: POST https://api.everyinfra.com/api/v1/social with the header Authorization: Bearer <API key>. Read the key from the EVERYINFRA_API_KEY environment variable and never hard-code it.
- In the request body, set platform to indeed and action to search, and put the parameters inside params.
- Required parameters:
- keyword: Specifies the job search term (e.g., backend engineer) for the search action. This parameter is used strictly for job searches; to query company reviews, salaries, or interviews, use the company parameter instead.
- Optional parameters:
- company_details: Enables company profile extraction alongside job listings in the search action when set to boolean true. Defaults to false.
- country: Selects the Indeed national domain for the search action. Defaults to US. This parameter accepts country designations rather than specific city names, which belong in the location parameter.
- location: Accepts freeform text for job location filtering in the search action, such as New York, NY. Takes precedence over the compatibility parameter region.
- region: This parameter provides the job location for the search action, accepting city or region strings. When both are supplied, location takes precedence. This parameter is not limited to a closed option list.
- limit: The most rows to return in this call, an integer from 1 to 50. The default applies when you leave it out, and a call can return fewer rows. Larger values return 422 before any charge. (default: 15)
- Returns a list of records. Main fields of each record: id, url, title, text, company, company_url, location, salary, job_type, company_rating, company_review_count, apply_url; 17 fields in total, full list at https://api.everyinfra.com/api/v1/social/catalog?platform=indeed.
- Example request body:
{
"platform": "indeed",
"action": "search",
"params": {
"keyword": "frontend engineer"
}
}
- Price: $1.39 per 1,000 requests; failed and empty results are not charged.
- For dozens or hundreds of targets, add "mode": "async" to the body: you get a job_id at once and poll GET https://api.everyinfra.com/api/v1/jobs/{job_id} for the result.
- On 422, fix the request using the suggested parameter names and allowed values in the error; on 429 or 503, wait for Retry-After and try again.
Before writing code, ask me which targets I need, how many, which fields, and what output format I want; then confirm the plan and the rough cost with me.Request parameters
| Name | In | Type | Required | Default | Description |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
Authorization | header | string | Yes | - | Bearer followed by your API key. Create it in the console; never put it in a URL or a code repository. |
platform | body | string | Yes | indeed | Platform identifier, fixed value. |
action | body | string | Yes | search | Capability identifier, fixed value. |
keyword | body.params | Not declared | Yes | - | Specifies the job search term (e.g., backend engineer) for the search action. This parameter is used strictly for job searches; to query company reviews, salaries, or interviews, use the company parameter instead. |
company_details | body.params | Not declared | No | - | Enables company profile extraction alongside job listings in the search action when set to boolean true. Defaults to false. Enabling this may increase response times, and complete details are not available for all employers. Do not pass the string "false". |
country | body.params | Not declared | No | - | Selects the Indeed national domain for the search action. Defaults to US. This parameter accepts country designations rather than specific city names, which belong in the location parameter. |
location | body.params | Not declared | No | - | Accepts freeform text for job location filtering in the search action, such as New York, NY. Takes precedence over the compatibility parameter region. This field is freeform text and does not control national domain selection for company endpoints. |
region | body.params | Not declared | No | - | This parameter provides the job location for the search action, accepting city or region strings. When both are supplied, location takes precedence. This parameter is not limited to a closed option list. |
limit | body.params | integer (1–50) | No | 15 | The most rows to return in this call, an integer from 1 to 50. The default applies when you leave it out, and a call can return fewer rows. Larger values return 422 before any charge. |

Response example
Captured September 26, 2026 at 08:56 (UTC) by calling this API with the parameters in the code sample above. results and count are that call's real response with personal information (names, handles, avatars, profile links, contact details) removed; the list keeps the first 2. id, billing and quota differ on every call, so only their shape is shown.

}Response fields
Business data is in results. The table lists the fields a record can contain; values the platform does not show are never made up.
| Field | Meaning |
|---|---|
id | The record's unique ID on the platform. Unique only within one platform; IDs can repeat across platforms. |
url | Link to the record on the platform. |
title | Title. null when the platform has no titles (for example text-only posts). |
text | Body text with HTML removed, returned in full and never cut short (on a few platforms the list results themselves carry only an excerpt; the platform's field notes say so). |
company | Keeps the platform's own meaning |
company_url | Keeps the platform's own meaning |
location | Location description passed through as is; the format varies by platform. |
salary | Keeps the platform's own meaning |
job_type | Keeps the platform's own meaning |
company_rating | Keeps the platform's own meaning |
company_review_count | Keeps the platform's own meaning |
apply_url | Keeps the platform's own meaning |
is_expired | Keeps the platform's own meaning |
posted_at | Publish time in ISO 8601, UTC (for example 2026-08-07T12:34:56+00:00). Non-standard strings from the platform are passed through as is, so parse defensively. null means the platform does not disclose it. |
email | Contact email address, passed through as is. |
emails | Contact email addresses (a record can have several), passed through as is with duplicates removed. |
phone | Contact phone number, passed through without format normalization. |
platform | Source platform identifier, the same as platform in the request (for example xiaohongshu, tiktok). |
FAQ
How is an Indeed job search billed?
Each call is billed at the per-call price shown on this page, and one rule holds for every search: a call that returns no rows is not charged. A keyword or location with no matching jobs therefore costs nothing, so you can test spellings and places before you plan a large batch.
What is the difference between country and location?
country picks which Indeed country site to search and defaults to US. location is free text for the place within that site, such as New York, NY, and it takes priority over the compatibility input region when both are sent. A city never goes into country, because that parameter selects a site, not a place.
How do I get reviews or salaries for an employer I found?
company_url is the employer's page on Indeed, and the part after /cmp/ is its short name. Pass that short name as the company input of the Indeed Company reviews, Salaries or Interviews capability. Those capabilities name the employer directly, while keyword here only searches job postings.
Errors and billing
- 401
- Missing or invalid key. Authentication runs before parameter checks, so unauthenticated requests never see the parameter schema.
- 422
- Wrong parameter name or value. The error lists the parameters and allowed values this capability accepts and the closest match; it happens before any charge.
- 402
- Insufficient balance. Top up first.
- 429
- The account's per-minute request limit was reached (all of its API keys count together; a key's own lower limit applies first). Wait for Retry-After and try again; a rate package in the console raises the limit.
- 503
- Could not complete right now. Any charge for the call goes back to your balance automatically, and the billing receipt in the response states the actual outcome, including when it is not yet known. Do not resend blindly.
- 200 empty
- The request completed without data and is not charged (billing.reason = empty_result_refunded).
