Pull employee reviews of a company from its Glassdoor page, with pros, cons, advice, job title, tenure, current or former status and sub-ratings such as culture, work-life balance and pay. recommend, ceo_approval and business_outlook are one reviewer's answers, not company-wide rates.

Glassdoor Reviews reads employee reviews of one company on Glassdoor, given the company's Overview or Reviews page url. Each review keeps its pros, cons and advice to management in separate fields, along with the title, the overall rating, six sub-ratings, the reviewer's job title, location, tenure and employment status, the review language, helpful votes and whether the employer replied. HR and employer branding teams use it to track how staff see a workplace, and recruiters and investors use it to compare employers.

The sub-ratings, from work-life balance to compensation and benefits, are on a 5-point scale. Each review also carries the reviewer's own answers on recommending the employer to a friend, approving of the CEO and the six-month business outlook, in recommend, ceo_approval and business_outlook, which you can tally across reviews. is_current_employee false marks a former employee, and language is judged by Glassdoor and can be wrong, so check it before sentiment analysis.

Price $1.39 per 1,000 requests ($0.001389 per call). Failed calls and empty results are not charged. Synchronous. For slow jobs add "mode": "async" to the body, take the job_id and poll.

AI prompt

Paste this into your AI assistant. It already holds this endpoint's parameters, response fields and an example request, so the assistant can ask what you need and then write the scraper.

Please help me write a data collection script with the EveryInfra Glassdoor Reviews endpoint (glassdoor/reviews).

Endpoint contract:
- Request: POST https://api.everyinfra.com/api/v1/social with the header Authorization: Bearer <API key>. Read the key from the EVERYINFRA_API_KEY environment variable and never hard-code it.
- In the request body, set platform to glassdoor and action to reviews, and put the parameters inside params.
- Required parameters:
  - url: A full Glassdoor company Overview or Reviews URL that preserves the company slug and its E or IE numeric identifier. The profile, reviews, salaries, interviews, and jobs actions are scoped to that company.
- Optional parameters:
  - since: The lower date boundary in YYYY-MM-DD format: the review start date for reviews and the interview start date for interviews. It takes precedence over start_date and does not apply to profile, salaries, or jobs.
  - sort: Review order for reviews: newest, relevance, or top_rated. It does not apply to profile, salaries, interviews, or jobs. (allowed: newest / relevance / top_rated)
  - start_date: A compatibility lower date boundary for reviews in YYYY-MM-DD format. If since is also supplied, since takes precedence. It is not an employee start date or job posting date.
  - limit: The most rows to return in this call, an integer from 1 to 200. The default applies when you leave it out, and a call can return fewer rows. Larger values return 422 before any charge. (default: 20)
- Returns a list of records. Main fields of each record: id, title, pros, cons, advice, rating, rating_scale, job_title, location, employment_length_years, is_current_employee, language; 25 fields in total, full list at https://api.everyinfra.com/api/v1/social/catalog?platform=glassdoor.
- Example request body:
{
  "platform": "glassdoor",
  "action": "reviews",
  "params": {
    "url": "https://www.glassdoor.com/Overview/Working-at-Google-EI_IE9079.11,17.htm"
  }
}
- Price: $1.39 per 1,000 requests; failed and empty results are not charged.
- For dozens or hundreds of targets, add "mode": "async" to the body: you get a job_id at once and poll GET https://api.everyinfra.com/api/v1/jobs/{job_id} for the result.
- On 422, fix the request using the suggested parameter names and allowed values in the error; on 429 or 503, wait for Retry-After and try again.

Before writing code, ask me which targets I need, how many, which fields, and what output format I want; then confirm the plan and the rough cost with me.

Response fields

Business data is in results. The table lists the fields a record can contain; values the platform does not show are never made up.

FieldMeaning
idThe record's unique ID on the platform. Unique only within one platform; IDs can repeat across platforms.
titleTitle. null when the platform has no titles (for example text-only posts).
prosKeeps the platform's own meaning
consKeeps the platform's own meaning
adviceKeeps the platform's own meaning
ratingRating. The scale varies by platform: rating_scale on the same row gives the maximum (usually 5; Booking, Douban, iQIYI and NAVER use 10). Convert with rating_scale before comparing across platforms, or the comparison can come out backwards.
rating_scaleMaximum of rating in the same row: 5 for five-star scales, 10 for ten-point scales. Present only when the row has a rating.
job_titleKeeps the platform's own meaning
locationLocation description passed through as is; the format varies by platform.
employment_length_yearsKeeps the platform's own meaning
is_current_employeeKeeps the platform's own meaning
languageContent language code (for example zh, en) as judged by the platform; it can be wrong.

posted_atPublish time in ISO 8601, UTC (for example 2026-08-07T12:34:56+00:00). Non-standard strings from the platform are passed through as is, so parse defensively. null means the platform does not disclose it.
company_nameKeeps the platform's own meaning
platformSource platform identifier, the same as platform in the request (for example xiaohongshu, tiktok).

FAQ

Which Glassdoor link works as url?

The full Overview or Reviews page link of the company, with the company slug and the E or IE number left intact, such as https://www.glassdoor.com/Overview/Working-at-Google-EI_IE9079.11,17.htm. A job posting link does not identify the company. If you only know the name, Glassdoor Search finds the company and returns its link.

Can I give Glassdoor reviews to ChatGPT for analysis?

Yes. Connect EveryInfra to ChatGPT over MCP with your API key, and ChatGPT can call this capability itself; a script can also call the API and pass the rows on. Because pros, cons and advice arrive as separate fields, the model can summarize strengths, complaints and suggestions without untangling them, and is_current_employee lets it weigh current against former staff.

How do I read reviews from a certain date onward?

Set since to the first day you want, as YYYY-MM-DD, and sort to newest. start_date sets the same bound, and when both are sent, since overrides it. The bound filters by review date, not by when the reviewer joined the company.

Errors and billing

401
Missing or invalid key. Authentication runs before parameter checks, so unauthenticated requests never see the parameter schema.
422
Wrong parameter name or value. The error lists the parameters and allowed values this capability accepts and the closest match; it happens before any charge.
402
Insufficient balance. Top up first.
429
The account's per-minute request limit was reached (all of its API keys count together; a key's own lower limit applies first). Wait for Retry-After and try again; a rate package in the console raises the limit.
503
Could not complete right now. Any charge for the call goes back to your balance automatically, and the billing receipt in the response states the actual outcome, including when it is not yet known. Do not resend blindly.
200 empty
The request completed without data and is not charged (billing.reason = empty_result_refunded).
