Collect viewer comments on a Dailymotion video from its page link, each with the text, commenter name and ID, and post time. The batch is not guaranteed to be the complete thread, and nothing is posted or moderated.

Dailymotion Comments returns the comments posted on one Dailymotion video, which you name by its page link in url. You get one row per comment with its ID, the full text, the commenter's display name and ID, the time it was posted, and the ID and link of the video. It serves audience feedback work on a single upload, tracking reactions to a news clip or a brand's video, and comparing the discussion across many videos.

Pass a video page link, such as https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x8da13x; the capability returns the comments on that video. text comes back in full with HTML removed, ready for sentiment or topic analysis, and created_at lets you lay the discussion out in time, for example to see how reactions shifted after a news event.

Price $1.39 per 1,000 requests ($0.001389 per call). Failed calls and empty results are not charged. Synchronous. For slow jobs add "mode": "async" to the body, take the job_id and poll.

AI prompt

Paste this into your AI assistant. It already holds this endpoint's parameters, response fields and an example request, so the assistant can ask what you need and then write the scraper.

Please help me write a data collection script with the EveryInfra Dailymotion Comments endpoint (dailymotion/comments).

Endpoint contract:
- Request: POST https://api.everyinfra.com/api/v1/social with the header Authorization: Bearer <API key>. Read the key from the EVERYINFRA_API_KEY environment variable and never hard-code it.
- In the request body, set platform to dailymotion and action to comments, and put the parameters inside params.
- Required parameters:
  - url: Specifies the full Dailymotion web link corresponding to the requested action scope: a video page URL for video or comments, a channel page URL for channel or channel_videos, or a playlist page URL for playlist.
- Optional parameters:
  - limit: The most rows to return in this call, an integer from 1 to 100. The default applies when you leave it out, and a call can return fewer rows. Larger values return 422 before any charge. (default: 20)
- Returns a list of records. Main fields of each record: comment_id, video_id, video_url, text, author_name, author_id, created_at.
- Example request body:
{
  "platform": "dailymotion",
  "action": "comments",
  "params": {
    "url": "https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x8da13x"
  }
}
- Price: $1.39 per 1,000 requests; failed and empty results are not charged.
- For dozens or hundreds of targets, add "mode": "async" to the body: you get a job_id at once and poll GET https://api.everyinfra.com/api/v1/jobs/{job_id} for the result.
- On 422, fix the request using the suggested parameter names and allowed values in the error; on 429 or 503, wait for Retry-After and try again.

Before writing code, ask me which targets I need, how many, which fields, and what output format I want; then confirm the plan and the rough cost with me.

Code samples

Response fields

Business data is in results. The table lists the fields a record can contain; values the platform does not show are never made up.

FieldMeaning
comment_idKeeps the platform's own meaning
video_idKeeps the platform's own meaning
video_urlKeeps the platform's own meaning
textBody text with HTML removed, returned in full and never cut short (on a few platforms the list results themselves carry only an excerpt; the platform's field notes say so).
author_nameAuthor's display name.
author_idAuthor's unique ID on the platform.
created_atCreation time, same format as posted_at.
platformSource platform identifier, the same as platform in the request (for example xiaohongshu, tiktok).

FAQ

How do I collect comments from a whole channel?

List the channel's videos with Dailymotion Channel videos, then pass each row's video link here. Every comment row carries video_id and video_url, so the combined set still shows which video each comment came from.

Can I pass a link to a single comment?

No. url takes the page link of the video, and the capability returns that video's comments. Comment links, channel pages and playlist pages do not work. Each returned comment has its own comment_id if you need to refer to it later.

Can I identify repeat commenters?

Yes, with author_id, the commenter's ID on Dailymotion. Count it across the videos you collect to find the most active voices. Names in author_name are display names, which can repeat across people or change, so they make poor keys.

Errors and billing

401
Missing or invalid key. Authentication runs before parameter checks, so unauthenticated requests never see the parameter schema.
422
Wrong parameter name or value. The error lists the parameters and allowed values this capability accepts and the closest match; it happens before any charge.
402
Insufficient balance. Top up first.
429
The account's per-minute request limit was reached (all of its API keys count together; a key's own lower limit applies first). Wait for Retry-After and try again; a rate package in the console raises the limit.
503
Could not complete right now. Any charge for the call goes back to your balance automatically, and the billing receipt in the response states the actual outcome, including when it is not yet known. Do not resend blindly.
200 empty
The request completed without data and is not charged (billing.reason = empty_result_refunded).
