See how big a public Telegram channel is: subscriber count, photo, video and link counts, bio, avatar and verification status. Takes a name, @name, t.me/name or t.me/s/name; private chats, phone numbers and member names stay out of reach.
Telegram Details reads the public profile of one Telegram channel from its username and returns the channel's name, bio, subscriber_count, its photo and video counts and the number of links in its messages, whether Telegram verified it, the avatar and the link. It answers how large a channel is and what it shares, for marketers vetting channels before buying placements, media analysts sizing news and community channels, and researchers comparing channels within a niche.
username accepts the bare name, @name, t.me/name or t.me/s/name; private invite links are not supported. Details is meant for public channels: a group's public information comes from the Telegram Group capability, and a channel's messages from Telegram Channel posts. bio may contain line breaks and emoji, and a null is_verified means verification could not be determined, which is not the same as false.
Price $0.56 per 1,000 requests ($0.000556 per call). Failed calls and empty results are not charged. Synchronous. For slow jobs add "mode": "async" to the body, take the job_id and poll.
AI prompt
Paste this into your AI assistant. It already holds this endpoint's parameters, response fields and an example request, so the assistant can ask what you need and then write the scraper.
Please help me write a data collection script with the EveryInfra Telegram Details endpoint (telegram/profile).
Endpoint contract:
- Request: POST https://api.everyinfra.com/api/v1/social with the header Authorization: Bearer <API key>. Read the key from the EVERYINFRA_API_KEY environment variable and never hard-code it.
- In the request body, set platform to telegram and action to profile, and put the parameters inside params.
- Required parameters:
- username: Specifies the target public channel or group using formats such as name, @name, t.me/name, or t.me/s/name.
- Returns one object. Main fields: username, name, bio, subscriber_count, photo_count, video_count, link_count, is_verified, avatar_url, url.
- Example request body:
{
"platform": "telegram",
"action": "profile",
"params": {
"username": "telegram"
}
}
- Price: $0.56 per 1,000 requests; failed and empty results are not charged.
- For dozens or hundreds of targets, add "mode": "async" to the body: you get a job_id at once and poll GET https://api.everyinfra.com/api/v1/jobs/{job_id} for the result.
- On 422, fix the request using the suggested parameter names and allowed values in the error; on 429 or 503, wait for Retry-After and try again.
Before writing code, ask me which targets I need, how many, which fields, and what output format I want; then confirm the plan and the rough cost with me.Request parameters
| Name | In | Type | Required | Default | Description |

action | body | string | Yes | profile | Capability identifier, fixed value. |
username | body.params | Not declared | Yes | - | Specifies the target public channel or group using formats such as name, @name, t.me/name, or t.me/s/name. Business data is in results. The table lists the fields a record can contain; values the platform does not show are never made up.

username | Username (@handle). |
name | Name of the object itself, for account, product and business capabilities. |
bio | Profile bio written by the account; may contain line breaks and emoji. |
subscriber_count | Keeps the platform's own meaning |
photo_count | Keeps the platform's own meaning |
video_count | Keeps the platform's own meaning |
link_count | Keeps the platform's own meaning |
is_verified | Whether the platform verified the account. null means it cannot be determined. |
avatar_url | Avatar image link. Some platforms return sized CDN links that can expire. |
url | Link to the record on the platform. |
platform | Source platform identifier, the same as platform in the request (for example xiaohongshu, tiktok). |
FAQ
Which forms of username can I pass?
The channel's public name in any of these forms: telegram, @telegram, t.me/telegram or t.me/s/telegram. Private invite links are not supported, because Telegram Details reads public channels only.
Does Telegram Details work for groups?
It is meant for public channels. For a public group, call the Telegram Group capability with the same kind of name to read the group's public information. To read a channel's messages rather than its profile, use Telegram Channel posts, which takes the same username.
What do photo_count, video_count and link_count tell me?
photo_count and video_count give the channel's photo and video counts, and link_count the number of links in its messages. Together they show the mix of media and outbound links a channel posts, which helps when you compare channels in one niche.
Errors and billing
- 401
- Missing or invalid key. Authentication runs before parameter checks, so unauthenticated requests never see the parameter schema.
- 422
- Wrong parameter name or value. The error lists the parameters and allowed values this capability accepts and the closest match; it happens before any charge.
- 402
- Insufficient balance. Top up first.
- 429
- The account's per-minute request limit was reached (all of its API keys count together; a key's own lower limit applies first). Wait for Retry-After and try again; a rate package in the console raises the limit.
- 503
- Could not complete right now. Any charge for the call goes back to your balance automatically, and the billing receipt in the response states the actual outcome, including when it is not yet known. Do not resend blindly.
- 200 empty
- The request completed without data and is not charged (billing.reason = empty_result_refunded).

- Telegram Official: Channels, Public Usernames, and View Counts ↗
Official Telegram documentation distinguishes public channels from invite-only private channels, noting that channels function as broadcast tools and view counts include forwarded copies as approximate figures; this explains the channel object and view_count parameter, but does not prove this endpoint can read complete channel history or private content.
