Look up a Snapchat creator or business account by handle or profile link for its bio, account type, category, subscriber count and Lens, Highlight and Spotlight counts. has_story shows whether a Story is viewable now; private Snaps, contacts and legal identity are not covered.

Snapchat Details reads the public profile of one Snapchat creator or business account and returns a single record: display name, bio, account type, category and subcategory, subscriber count, verification, website and address, the number of Lenses, Highlights and Spotlight videos, whether a Story is viewable now, plus the avatar, header image and Snapcode. Brand and influencer teams use it to size up an account before working with it and to track its subscriber count over time.

Pass the username, with or without @, or a snapchat.com/add/<name> or snapchat.com/@<name> link; only public profile information is read, never private chats or friends-only Stories. lens_count is a core output measure for creator accounts, and category follows Snapchat's own taxonomy rather than a cross-platform one. snapcode_url links to the image of the yellow code people scan to follow the account, and business_profile_id identifies a business account.

Price $1.39 per 1,000 requests ($0.001389 per call). Failed calls and empty results are not charged. Synchronous. For slow jobs add "mode": "async" to the body, take the job_id and poll.

AI prompt

Paste this into your AI assistant. It already holds this endpoint's parameters, response fields and an example request, so the assistant can ask what you need and then write the scraper.

Please help me write a data collection script with the EveryInfra Snapchat Details endpoint (snapchat/profile).

Endpoint contract:
- Request: POST https://api.everyinfra.com/api/v1/social with the header Authorization: Bearer <API key>. Read the key from the EVERYINFRA_API_KEY environment variable and never hard-code it.
- In the request body, set platform to snapchat and action to profile, and put the parameters inside params.
- Required parameters:
  - username: Specifies a public creator handle, accepted as a plain username (with optional @ prefix) or a full snapchat.com profile URL.
- Returns one object. Main fields: business_profile_id, username, display_name, bio, profile_type, category, subcategory, subscriber_count, is_verified, website, address, has_story; 21 fields in total, full list at https://api.everyinfra.com/api/v1/social/catalog?platform=snapchat.
- Example request body:
{
  "platform": "snapchat",
  "action": "profile",
  "params": {
    "username": "<SNAPCHAT_USERNAME>"
  }
}
- Price: $1.39 per 1,000 requests; failed and empty results are not charged.
- For dozens or hundreds of targets, add "mode": "async" to the body: you get a job_id at once and poll GET https://api.everyinfra.com/api/v1/jobs/{job_id} for the result.
- On 422, fix the request using the suggested parameter names and allowed values in the error; on 429 or 503, wait for Retry-After and try again.

Before writing code, ask me which targets I need, how many, which fields, and what output format I want; then confirm the plan and the rough cost with me.

Request parameters

NameInTypeRequiredDefaultDescription
AuthorizationheaderstringYes-Bearer followed by your API key. Create it in the console; never put it in a URL or a code repository.
platformbodystringYessnapchatPlatform identifier, fixed value.
actionbodystringYesprofileCapability identifier, fixed value.
usernamebody.paramsNot declaredYes-Specifies a public creator handle, accepted as a plain username (with optional @ prefix) or a full snapchat.com profile URL. This parameter retrieves public profile data for profile, current public stories for stories, or Spotlight short videos for user_posts. Private chats and friends-only stories are not accessible.

Code samples

bash
curl -X POST 'https://api.everyinfra.com/api/v1/social' \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer $EVERYINFRA_API_KEY" \
  -H 'Content-Type: application/json' \
  --data-raw '{
  "platform": "snapchat",
  "action": "profile",
  "params": {
    "username": "<SNAPCHAT_USERNAME>"
  }
}'

[OpenAPI definition (JSON)]Samples read the key from the EVERYINFRA_API_KEY environment variable; copied code never contains your key.

FAQ

Which forms of username work?

The account name, with or without @, or a profile link shaped like snapchat.com/add/<name> or snapchat.com/@<name>. A display name does not identify the account, and a link to a single Spotlight video belongs to the Snapchat Video details capability rather than this one.

Where is the follower count?

This profile reports audience size as subscriber_count, the number of subscribers; there is no separate follower field. Read it alongside profile_type, which separates personal, public figure and business accounts, before you compare reach across accounts.

What does has_story tell me?

It is true when the account has a Story that can be viewed at the moment of the call. To read the Stories themselves, pass the same username to the Snapchat Stories capability, which returns the account's current public Stories.

Errors and billing

401
Missing or invalid key. Authentication runs before parameter checks, so unauthenticated requests never see the parameter schema.
422
Wrong parameter name or value. The error lists the parameters and allowed values this capability accepts and the closest match; it happens before any charge.
402
Insufficient balance. Top up first.
429
The account's per-minute request limit was reached (all of its API keys count together; a key's own lower limit applies first). Wait for Retry-After and try again; a rate package in the console raises the limit.
503
Could not complete right now. Any charge for the call goes back to your balance automatically, and the billing receipt in the response states the actual outcome, including when it is not yet known. Do not resend blindly.
200 empty
The request completed without data and is not charged (billing.reason = empty_result_refunded).
