See an estimated visitor profile for a domain on SimilarWeb: gender split, age bands, other sites and topics visitors favor, the site's technologies and organic versus paid search share. These are aggregate estimates with a snapshot date, not identifiable people or the site's own data.

SimilarWeb Audience reads the visitor profile of one website, given its domain in keyword: the split between male and female visitors, the age distribution, the other websites its visitors also use, the topics and categories they are most interested in, the technologies the site runs on, and the shares of organic and paid search traffic. It answers who visits a site rather than how many, which marketers use to check whether a site reaches their target customers, to plan media buys and partnerships, and to size up a competitor's audience.

Pass the site's domain, such as facebook.com. The figures are SimilarWeb's estimates, not the site's own analytics, and the data lags, so read snapshot_date before you treat a value as current. Comparing organic_traffic_share with paid_traffic_share shows whether a site wins its search visitors through SEO or buys them. For visit counts and rankings, call SimilarWeb Search with the same domain.

Price $1.39 per 1,000 requests ($0.001389 per call). Failed calls and empty results are not charged. Synchronous. For slow jobs add "mode": "async" to the body, take the job_id and poll.

AI prompt

Paste this into your AI assistant. It already holds this endpoint's parameters, response fields and an example request, so the assistant can ask what you need and then write the scraper.

Please help me write a data collection script with the EveryInfra SimilarWeb Audience endpoint (similarweb/audience).

Endpoint contract:
- Request: POST https://api.everyinfra.com/api/v1/social with the header Authorization: Bearer <API key>. Read the key from the EVERYINFRA_API_KEY environment variable and never hard-code it.
- In the request body, set platform to similarweb and action to audience, and put the parameters inside params.
- Required parameters:
  - keyword: Specifies the target domain to analyze (such as example.com) rather than a general search keyword query.
- Returns one object. Main fields: id, url, name, male_share, female_share, age_distribution, top_interested_websites, top_interested_topics, top_interested_categories, technologies, organic_traffic_share, paid_traffic_share; 13 fields in total, full list at https://api.everyinfra.com/api/v1/social/catalog?platform=similarweb.
- Example request body:
{
  "platform": "similarweb",
  "action": "audience",
  "params": {
    "keyword": "facebook.com"
  }
}
- Price: $1.39 per 1,000 requests; failed and empty results are not charged.
- For dozens or hundreds of targets, add "mode": "async" to the body: you get a job_id at once and poll GET https://api.everyinfra.com/api/v1/jobs/{job_id} for the result.
- On 422, fix the request using the suggested parameter names and allowed values in the error; on 429 or 503, wait for Retry-After and try again.

Before writing code, ask me which targets I need, how many, which fields, and what output format I want; then confirm the plan and the rough cost with me.

Request parameters

NameInTypeRequiredDefaultDescription
AuthorizationheaderstringYes-Bearer followed by your API key. Create it in the console; never put it in a URL or a code repository.
platformbodystringYessimilarwebPlatform identifier, fixed value.
actionbodystringYesaudienceCapability identifier, fixed value.
keywordbody.paramsNot declaredYes-Specifies the target domain to analyze (such as example.com) rather than a general search keyword query. Depending on the action selected, this parameter retrieves traffic overviews for search, lists similar sites for competitors, or extracts domain visitor profiles for audience. Returned metrics are third-party estimations and do not reflect internal GA4 analytics measurements.

Code samples

bash
curl -X POST 'https://api.everyinfra.com/api/v1/social' \

FAQ

How is this different from SimilarWeb Search?

SimilarWeb Search describes a site's traffic: rank, estimated visits, engagement and where visits come from. Audience describes the people behind those visits: gender split, age, interests and the other sites they use, plus the site's technology and its organic versus paid search mix. Both take the same domain in keyword.

What do category labels such as computers_electronics_and_technology mean here?

They are SimilarWeb's own category names. In top_interested_categories they name the content categories this site's visitors care about most, which is not the same as the site's own category; that one comes from SimilarWeb Search. The labels are not mapped to any other platform's categories.

Are male_share and female_share measured?

No. Like the other figures here, they are SimilarWeb's estimates of the visitor mix, not data from the site's own analytics. Use them to compare sites with one another, read them together with age_distribution, and keep snapshot_date with every value you store.

Errors and billing

401
Missing or invalid key. Authentication runs before parameter checks, so unauthenticated requests never see the parameter schema.
422
Wrong parameter name or value. The error lists the parameters and allowed values this capability accepts and the closest match; it happens before any charge.
402
Insufficient balance. Top up first.
429
The account's per-minute request limit was reached (all of its API keys count together; a key's own lower limit applies first). Wait for Retry-After and try again; a rate package in the console raises the limit.
503
Could not complete right now. Any charge for the call goes back to your balance automatically, and the billing receipt in the response states the actual outcome, including when it is not yet known. Do not resend blindly.
200 empty
The request completed without data and is not charged (billing.reason = empty_result_refunded).
