Collect Quora answers that discuss a keyword, each linked to its question and carrying the author's stated credential plus upvote, comment, share and view counts. Complete answer text is not guaranteed, and upvotes do not mean the community accepted an answer.
Quora Answers finds answers on Quora that match a keyword and returns each answer's text, the question it belongs to in question_url and question_id, the author's name, profile link and author_credential, upvote, comment, share and view counts, and the publish time. It answers what people write about a subject in their own words, for product and market researchers collecting opinions, content teams learning which questions their audience asks, and analysts following how views on a topic change.
author_credential is the background line Quora asks answer authors to state, so read it with upvote_count when you weigh one answer against another. Narrow results by recency with date_range. Grouping rows by question_id puts several answers to the same question side by side. A null share or view count was not disclosed, which is not zero.
Price $1.39 per 1,000 requests ($0.001389 per call). Failed calls and empty results are not charged. Synchronous. For slow jobs add "mode": "async" to the body, take the job_id and poll.
AI prompt
Paste this into your AI assistant. It already holds this endpoint's parameters, response fields and an example request, so the assistant can ask what you need and then write the scraper.
Please help me write a data collection script with the EveryInfra Quora Answers endpoint (quora/answers).
Endpoint contract:
- Request: POST https://api.everyinfra.com/api/v1/social with the header Authorization: Bearer <API key>. Read the key from the EVERYINFRA_API_KEY environment variable and never hard-code it.
- In the request body, set platform to quora and action to answers, and put the parameters inside params.
- Required parameters:
- keyword: Specifies search keywords across Quora search actions including questions, answers, posts, profiles, and topics. It performs keyword search across those entity types and does not fetch single objects by direct URL.
- Optional parameters:
- date_range: Filters results by publishing window across Quora actions. Supported values are all_time_broadest_discovery, past_hour_very_recent_results, past_day_last_24_hours, past_week_last_7_days, past_month_last_30_days, and past… (allowed: all_time_broadest_discovery / past_day_last_24_hours / past_hour_very_recent_results / past_month_last_30_days / past_week_last_7_days / past_year_last_12_months)
- limit: The most rows to return in this call, an integer from 1 to 200. The default applies when you leave it out, and a call can return fewer rows. Larger values return 422 before any charge. (default: 20)
- Returns a list of records. Main fields of each record: type, url, title, posted_at, answer_count, comment_count, follower_count, is_locked, is_sensitive, text, author_name, author_url; 25 fields in total, full list at https://api.everyinfra.com/api/v1/social/catalog?platform=quora.
- Example request body:
{
"platform": "quora",
"action": "answers",
"params": {
"keyword": "programming"
}
}
- Price: $1.39 per 1,000 requests; failed and empty results are not charged.
- For dozens or hundreds of targets, add "mode": "async" to the body: you get a job_id at once and poll GET https://api.everyinfra.com/api/v1/jobs/{job_id} for the result.
- On 422, fix the request using the suggested parameter names and allowed values in the error; on 429 or 503, wait for Retry-After and try again.
Before writing code, ask me which targets I need, how many, which fields, and what output format I want; then confirm the plan and the rough cost with me.Request parameters

Response example
Captured September 26, 2026 at 08:56 (UTC) by calling this API with the parameters in the code sample above. results and count are that call's real response with personal information (names, handles, avatars, profile links, contact details) removed; the list keeps the first 2. id, billing and quota differ on every call, so only their shape is shown.

Business data is in results. The table lists the fields a record can contain; values the platform does not show are never made up.
| Field | Meaning |
|---|---|
type | Record type; values depend on the capability (for example video / image / text). |
url | Link to the record on the platform. |
platform | Source platform identifier, the same as platform in the request (for example xiaohongshu, tiktok). |
title | Title. null when the platform has no titles (for example text-only posts). |
posted_at | Publish time in ISO 8601, UTC (for example 2026-08-07T12:34:56+00:00). Non-standard strings from the platform are passed through as is, so parse defensively. null means the platform does not disclose it. |
answer_count | Keeps the platform's own meaning |
comment_count | Comments. null means not disclosed, not 0. |
follower_count | Followers. null means not disclosed, not 0. |
is_locked | Keeps the platform's own meaning |
is_sensitive | Keeps the platform's own meaning |
text | Body text with HTML removed, returned in full and never cut short (on a few platforms the list results themselves carry only an excerpt; the platform's field notes say so). |
author_name | Author's display name. |
author_url | Link to the author's profile on the platform. |
author_credential | Keeps the platform's own meaning |
upvote_count | Keeps the platform's own meaning |
share_count | Shares. null means not disclosed, not 0. |
view_count | Views or plays. null means not disclosed, not 0. |
question_id | Keeps the platform's own meaning |
question_url | Keeps the platform's own meaning |
space_name | Keeps the platform's own meaning |
name | Name of the object itself, for account, product and business capabilities. |
user_id | User's unique ID on the platform. |
credential | Keeps the platform's own meaning |
avatar_url | Avatar image link. Some platforms return sized CDN links that can expire. |
topic_id | Keeps the platform's own meaning |
photo_url | Keeps the platform's own meaning |
FAQ
How do I see which question an answer belongs to?
Each Quora Answers row carries question_url, the link to the question, and question_id, its ID. Group answers by question_id to compare the answers to one question, and open question_url to read the question as asked. To search questions directly, use the Quora Questions capability, which returns question pages only.
How do I weigh one answer against another?
Read author_credential, the background Quora asks answer authors to state, together with upvote_count and view_count. A credential that fits the subject plus many upvotes marks an answer other readers found useful. A null view or share count means the figure was not disclosed, so do not rank those answers as if nobody saw them.
How do I follow new answers on a subject?
Set date_range to past_day_last_24_hours or past_week_last_7_days and call Quora Answers on a matching schedule, storing rows by url so repeats are recognized. past_hour_very_recent_results suits fast-moving subjects, and all_time_broadest_discovery removes the time limit when you build a first collection.
Errors and billing
- 401
- Missing or invalid key. Authentication runs before parameter checks, so unauthenticated requests never see the parameter schema.
- 422
- Wrong parameter name or value. The error lists the parameters and allowed values this capability accepts and the closest match; it happens before any charge.
- 402
- Insufficient balance. Top up first.
- 429
- The account's per-minute request limit was reached (all of its API keys count together; a key's own lower limit applies first). Wait for Retry-After and try again; a rate package in the console raises the limit.
- 503
- Could not complete right now. Any charge for the call goes back to your balance automatically, and the billing receipt in the response states the actual outcome, including when it is not yet known. Do not resend blindly.
- 200 empty
- The request completed without data and is not charged (billing.reason = empty_result_refunded).

- Quora: Credentials Are Background Statements, Not Verified Qualifications ↗
Quora defines Profile and Topic credentials as short statements of expertise, experience, or interest that must be helpful and truthful. This policy explicitly does not apply to Spaces. Here, author_credential or credential is not treated as official certification, nor is this rule extrapolated as a Space credential policy.
