Search iQIYI shows and videos by keyword, filtered by category, publish window, quality, source site or sort, with duration, heat value, rating, series and cast. heat_count is iQIYI's own popularity score, not a play count, and cannot be compared across platforms.
iQIYI Search finds videos on iQIYI by keyword and returns each result's title, description, category, length, heat value, rating, likes, comments and saves, plus the series it belongs to, posters, the cast and the uploader's details. Use it to see which films, series, shows and clips exist for a title or topic and how they are received, for content licensing research, entertainment market studies or tracking a show on iQIYI.
Narrow results with category, such as movie, tv_series or variety_shows, a time window with publish_date, and the order with sort. iQIYI calls a series an album and each episode a video, which is why the series fields start with album. heat_count is iQIYI's own popularity index, not a view count, and cannot be compared across platforms. rating is out of 10; check rating_scale on the row before you compare it with five-star sites.
Price $1.39 per 1,000 requests ($0.001389 per call). Failed calls and empty results are not charged. Synchronous. For slow jobs add "mode": "async" to the body, take the job_id and poll.
AI prompt
Paste this into your AI assistant. It already holds this endpoint's parameters, response fields and an example request, so the assistant can ask what you need and then write the scraper.
Please help me write a data collection script with the EveryInfra iQIYI Search endpoint (iqiyi/search).
Endpoint contract:
- Request: POST https://api.everyinfra.com/api/v1/social with the header Authorization: Bearer <API key>. Read the key from the EVERYINFRA_API_KEY environment variable and never hard-code it.
- In the request body, set platform to iqiyi and action to search, and put the parameters inside params.
- Required parameters:
- keyword: Specifies search terms for the search action, or series, album, and cast-member names for the international album action.
- Optional parameters:
- category: Filters video content by category, accepting allowed values such as movie, tv_series, variety_shows, animation, documentary, advertisement, beauty, car, comedy, entertainment, fashion, finance, game, health, life, milita… (allowed: advertisement / all / animation / beauty / car / comedy / documentary / entertainment)
- publish_date: Filters search action results by publication timeframe, accepting all, last_24_hours, last_7_days, or last_30_days.
- published: Overrides publish_date in the search action, accepting all, last_24_hours, last_7_days, or last_30_days. This field is a string filter and does not accept boolean true/false values.
- quality: Filters iQIYI search results by the requested video quality. Common values include all, hd, ultra_hd, 720p, and 1080p. It is not a download or transcoding option, and unlisted values may have no effect.
- scrape_additional_info: Controls whether iQIYI search results include additional uploader and engagement information. Pass a JSON boolean; the default is true.
- site: Provides a source-site condition for search. Common values include all, iqiyi, tencent_video, sohu, youku, tudou, acfun, bilibili, ifeng, cntv, and m1905.
- sort: Controls sorting order for video search results, accepting relevance, newest, or popular. It does not sort by user ratings or episode release sequences, and has no effect when requesting a single video. (allowed: newest / popular / relevance)
- limit: The most rows to return in this call, an integer from 1 to 50. The default applies when you leave it out, and a call can return fewer rows. Larger values return 422 before any charge. (default: 20)
- Returns a list of records. Main fields of each record: id, url, title, text, category, category_id, duration_seconds, duration_sec, heat_count, rating, rating_scale, rating_count; 30 fields in total, full list at https://api.everyinfra.com/api/v1/social/catalog?platform=iqiyi.
- Example request body:
{
"platform": "iqiyi",
"action": "search",
"params": {
"keyword": "纪录片"
}
}
- Price: $1.39 per 1,000 requests; failed and empty results are not charged.
- For dozens or hundreds of targets, add "mode": "async" to the body: you get a job_id at once and poll GET https://api.everyinfra.com/api/v1/jobs/{job_id} for the result.
- On 422, fix the request using the suggested parameter names and allowed values in the error; on 429 or 503, wait for Retry-After and try again.
Before writing code, ask me which targets I need, how many, which fields, and what output format I want; then confirm the plan and the rough cost with me.Request parameters
| Name | In | Type | Required | Default | Description |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
Authorization | header | string | Yes | - | Bearer followed by your API key. Create it in the console; never put it in a URL or a code repository. |
platform | body | string | Yes | iqiyi | Platform identifier, fixed value. |
action | body | string | Yes | search | Capability identifier, fixed value. |
keyword | body.params | Not declared | Yes | - | Specifies search terms for the search action, or series, album, and cast-member names for the international album action. The album action does not fetch details directly from album URLs, and available libraries vary by region. |
category | body.params | enum | No | - | Filters video content by category, accepting allowed values such as movie, tv_series, variety_shows, animation, documentary, advertisement, beauty, car, comedy, entertainment, fashion, finance, game, health, life, military, mother_baby, music, news_info, originals, short_films, sports, square_dance, talk_shows, technology, trailers, travel, trending, or all (unrestricted). This parameter filters broad categories rather than cast-member or series tags.Allowed valuesadvertisementallanimationbeautycarcomedydocumentaryentertainmentfashionfinancegamehealthlifemilitarymother_babymoviemusicnews_infooriginalsshort_filmssportssquare_dancetalk_showstechnologytrailerstraveltrendingtv_seriesvariety_shows |
publish_date | body.params | Not declared | No | - | Filters search action results by publication timeframe, accepting all, last_24_hours, last_7_days, or last_30_days. This field does not accept YYYY-MM-DD dates, and when both this field and published are present, published takes precedence. |
published | body.params | Not declared | No | - | Overrides publish_date in the search action, accepting all, last_24_hours, last_7_days, or last_30_days. This field is a string filter and does not accept boolean true/false values. |
quality | body.params | Not declared | No | - | Filters iQIYI search results by the requested video quality. Common values include all, hd, ultra_hd, 720p, and 1080p. It is not a download or transcoding option, and unlisted values may have no effect. |
scrape_additional_info | body.params | Not declared | No | - | Controls whether iQIYI search results include additional uploader and engagement information. Pass a JSON boolean; the default is true. Setting it to false disables that extra lookup but does not change the EveryInfra API price. |
site | body.params | Not declared | No | - | Provides a source-site condition for search. Common values include all, iqiyi, tencent_video, sohu, youku, tudou, acfun, bilibili, ifeng, cntv, and m1905. It narrows search results to those sites and does not mean each site has a detail action. |
sort | body.params | enum | No | - | Controls sorting order for video search results, accepting relevance, newest, or popular. It does not sort by user ratings or episode release sequences, and has no effect when requesting a single video.Allowed valuesnewestpopularrelevance |
limit | body.params | integer (1–50) | No | 20 | The most rows to return in this call, an integer from 1 to 50. The default applies when you leave it out, and a call can return fewer rows. Larger values return 422 before any charge. |

}Response fields
Business data is in results. The table lists the fields a record can contain; values the platform does not show are never made up.
| Field | Meaning |
|---|---|
id | The record's unique ID on the platform. Unique only within one platform; IDs can repeat across platforms. |
url | Link to the record on the platform. |
title | Title. null when the platform has no titles (for example text-only posts). |
text | Body text with HTML removed, returned in full and never cut short (on a few platforms the list results themselves carry only an excerpt; the platform's field notes say so). |
category | Category name in the platform's own taxonomy, not normalized across platforms. |
category_id | Keeps the platform's own meaning |
duration_seconds | Duration in seconds. null for content that is not video or audio. |
duration_sec | Keeps the platform's own meaning |
heat_count | Keeps the platform's own meaning |
rating | Rating. The scale varies by platform: rating_scale on the same row gives the maximum (usually 5; Booking, Douban, iQIYI and NAVER use 10). Convert with rating_scale before comparing across platforms, or the comparison can come out backwards. |
rating_scale | Maximum of rating in the same row: 5 for five-star scales, 10 for ten-point scales. Present only when the row has a rating. |
rating_count | Number of people who rated. null means not disclosed, not 0. |
like_count | Likes. null means the platform or this capability does not disclose it; it is not 0. |
comment_count | Comments. null means not disclosed, not 0. |
collect_count | Saves or favorites. null means not disclosed, not 0. |
album_id | Keeps the platform's own meaning |
album_title | Keeps the platform's own meaning |
album_url | Keeps the platform's own meaning |
album_episode_count | Keeps the platform's own meaning |
image_url | Image link. Capabilities with several images may return an image_urls array. |
wide_image_url | Keeps the platform's own meaning |
author_name | Author's display name. |
author_id | Author's unique ID on the platform. |
author_avatar_url | Keeps the platform's own meaning |
author_follower_count | Author's follower count. null means not disclosed. |
author_video_count | Keeps the platform's own meaning |
author_location | Keeps the platform's own meaning |
author_org | Keeps the platform's own meaning |
posted_at | Publish time in ISO 8601, UTC (for example 2026-08-07T12:34:56+00:00). Non-standard strings from the platform are passed through as is, so parse defensively. null means the platform does not disclose it. |
platform | Source platform identifier, the same as platform in the request (for example xiaohongshu, tiktok). |
cast | Keeps the platform's own meaning |
FAQ
Is heat_count the number of views?
No. It is iQIYI's own heat index, a platform metric rather than a count of plays, so figures from other platforms cannot be set against it. Use it to rank results within iQIYI, and read it with rating and rating_count when you judge how a title is received.
How do I keep only films or TV series?
Set category to movie or tv_series; variety_shows, animation and documentary work the same way, and all removes the filter. category is a content type, not a cast or series tag. For recent uploads, set published or publish_date to a window such as last_7_days; published wins when both are sent, and neither takes a calendar date.
How do I group episodes of the same series?
iQIYI files each episode as a video under a series it calls an album. Rows from one series share album_id and album_title, album_episode_count gives the series' total episodes, and album_url links to the series page, so you can roll episode figures up to the show.
Errors and billing
- 401
- Missing or invalid key. Authentication runs before parameter checks, so unauthenticated requests never see the parameter schema.
- 422
- Wrong parameter name or value. The error lists the parameters and allowed values this capability accepts and the closest match; it happens before any charge.
- 402
- Insufficient balance. Top up first.
- 429
- The account's per-minute request limit was reached (all of its API keys count together; a key's own lower limit applies first). Wait for Retry-After and try again; a rate package in the console raises the limit.
- 503
- Could not complete right now. Any charge for the call goes back to your balance automatically, and the billing receipt in the response states the actual outcome, including when it is not yet known. Do not resend blindly.
- 200 empty
- The request completed without data and is not charged (billing.reason = empty_result_refunded).

- iQIYI: Difference Between Content Heat and On-Site Play Count ↗
iQIYI's 2018 announcement explains content heat as a composite metric covering views, interactions, and shares, distinguishing it from play count. This only explains the metric type for heat_count and does not extrapolate current algorithms, thresholds, or cross-platform comparability, nor does it deduce actual play count from heat.
