Pull user reviews of an Android app on Google Play, each with score, text, thumbs-up count, app version, language and any developer reply. Sort by newest or top_rated and page with page_token, up to 200 rows.
Google Play Reviews reads user reviews of one Android app, given its package name as app_id. Each row carries the review text, the star score, the reviewer's display name and avatar, how many people gave the review a thumbs-up, an app version number, the publish time, and the developer's reply with its time. App teams, product managers and market researchers use it to track what users report after each release, compare apps in a category and see how quickly developers answer.
app_id is the value after ?id= in the Play Store link, such as com.whatsapp. The score is in score, always out of five. country picks the storefront and defaults to the US store, and language sets the language of the query, English by default, without promising that every review was written in it. sort lists the newest reviews first by default, or puts higher scores first with top_rated.
Price $1.39 per 1,000 requests ($0.001389 per call). Failed calls and empty results are not charged. Synchronous. For slow jobs add "mode": "async" to the body, take the job_id and poll.
AI prompt
Paste this into your AI assistant. It already holds this endpoint's parameters, response fields and an example request, so the assistant can ask what you need and then write the scraper.
Please help me write a data collection script with the EveryInfra Google Play Reviews endpoint (google_play/reviews).
Endpoint contract:
- Request: POST https://api.everyinfra.com/api/v1/social with the header Authorization: Bearer <API key>. Read the key from the EVERYINFRA_API_KEY environment variable and never hard-code it.
- In the request body, set platform to google_play and action to reviews, and put the parameters inside params.
- Required parameters:
- app_id: The Android package name from the ?id= value of a Play Store URL, such as com.example.app. It is not an Apple App Store numeric ID. Pass the package name, not the full Play URL.
- Optional parameters:
- country: Selects the Google Play storefront country or region using a lowercase code such as us. The default is us. It changes the app storefront being queried, not the user's phone region or the developer's nationality.
- language: Selects the language used for Play Store content and review queries, such as en or zh. The default is en. It does not change country automatically or guarantee that every returned review was written in that language.
- page_token: Pagination token: pass back next_page_token from the previous response to get the next page; omit it for the first page. Keep every other parameter unchanged. Tokens last 24 hours and each page is one call.
- sort: The app-review order: newest for recent reviews or top_rated for higher-rated reviews; reviews default to newest. (allowed: newest / top_rated)
- limit: The most rows to return in this call, an integer from 1 to 200. The default applies when you leave it out, and a call can return fewer rows. Larger values return 422 before any charge. (default: 40)
- Returns a list of records. Main fields of each record: id, app_id, text, title, score, author_name, author_avatar_url, thumbs_up, reply_text, reply_at, app_version, language; 14 fields in total, full list at https://api.everyinfra.com/api/v1/social/catalog?platform=google_play.
- Example request body:
{
"platform": "google_play",
"action": "reviews",
"params": {
"app_id": "com.whatsapp"
}
}
- Price: $1.39 per 1,000 requests; failed and empty results are not charged.
- For dozens or hundreds of targets, add "mode": "async" to the body: you get a job_id at once and poll GET https://api.everyinfra.com/api/v1/jobs/{job_id} for the result.
- On 422, fix the request using the suggested parameter names and allowed values in the error; on 429 or 503, wait for Retry-After and try again.
Before writing code, ask me which targets I need, how many, which fields, and what output format I want; then confirm the plan and the rough cost with me.Request parameters

Response example
Captured September 26, 2026 at 08:56 (UTC) by calling this API with the parameters in the code sample above. results and count are that call's real response with personal information (names, handles, avatars, profile links, contact details) removed; the list keeps the first 2. id, billing and quota differ on every call, so only their shape is shown.

}Response fields
Business data is in results. The table lists the fields a record can contain; values the platform does not show are never made up.
| Field | Meaning |
|---|---|
id | The record's unique ID on the platform. Unique only within one platform; IDs can repeat across platforms. |
app_id | Keeps the platform's own meaning |
text | Body text with HTML removed, returned in full and never cut short (on a few platforms the list results themselves carry only an excerpt; the platform's field notes say so). |
title | Title. null when the platform has no titles (for example text-only posts). |
score | Keeps the platform's own meaning |
author_name | Author's display name. |
author_avatar_url | Keeps the platform's own meaning |
thumbs_up | Keeps the platform's own meaning |
reply_text | Keeps the platform's own meaning |
reply_at | Keeps the platform's own meaning |
app_version | Keeps the platform's own meaning |
language | Content language code (for example zh, en) as judged by the platform; it can be wrong. |
url | Link to the record on the platform. |
posted_at | Publish time in ISO 8601, UTC (for example 2026-08-07T12:34:56+00:00). Non-standard strings from the platform are passed through as is, so parse defensively. null means the platform does not disclose it. |
platform | Source platform identifier, the same as platform in the request (for example xiaohongshu, tiktok). |
FAQ
What do I pass as app_id?
The Android package name: the value after ?id= in the app's Play Store link, such as com.whatsapp. Do not pass the whole link, because the value is used as the package name exactly as sent and a URL matches no app. Apple's numeric App Store IDs do not work either.
How do I get more reviews than one page?
Pass the next_page_token from a response back as page_token, keeping app_id, country, language and sort unchanged, to get the next page; leave page_token out to start at the first page. A token stays valid for 24 hours. Each page is a separate call, and a page that returns no rows is not charged.
How can I measure how the developer responds?
Reviews the developer answered carry reply_text and reply_at. Count the rows with a reply to get a reply rate, and subtract posted_at from reply_at for the response time. Splitting reviews with a low score into answered and unanswered ones shows which complaints get attention.
Errors and billing
- 401
- Missing or invalid key. Authentication runs before parameter checks, so unauthenticated requests never see the parameter schema.
- 422
- Wrong parameter name or value. The error lists the parameters and allowed values this capability accepts and the closest match; it happens before any charge.
- 402
- Insufficient balance. Top up first.
- 429
- The account's per-minute request limit was reached (all of its API keys count together; a key's own lower limit applies first). Wait for Retry-After and try again; a rate package in the console raises the limit.
- 503
- Could not complete right now. Any charge for the call goes back to your balance automatically, and the billing receipt in the response states the actual outcome, including when it is not yet known. Do not resend blindly.
- 200 empty
- The request completed without data and is not charged (billing.reason = empty_result_refunded).
