Find eBay listings for a keyword with asking price, currency, condition, shipping terms and seller, optionally filtered by condition, site domain or price range. Setting sold_only keeps listings seen as sold; it does not measure total market volume.

eBay Search finds items for sale on eBay by keyword and returns each listing's item ID, title, link, price and the price text as shown, currency, condition, shipping terms, seller and image. Resellers, pricing analysts and collectors use it to check current asking prices for an item, spot listings priced below the market and compare sellers.

Condition drives eBay prices more than anything else, so filter with condition or group by it before you compare. price is a number, while price_text keeps the displayed text, which can be a range. The price filters bound the item price alone; shipping and taxes may come on top, so read shipping. These are asking prices, not sale prices: set sold_only to true for sold items. Auction prices move quickly, so judge how fresh one is from scraped_at, the time the row was read. Pick the eBay site with domain, such as ebay.co.uk.

Price $1.39 per 1,000 requests ($0.001389 per call). Failed calls and empty results are not charged. Synchronous. For slow jobs add "mode": "async" to the body, take the job_id and poll.

AI prompt

Paste this into your AI assistant. It already holds this endpoint's parameters, response fields and an example request, so the assistant can ask what you need and then write the scraper.

Please help me write a data collection script with the EveryInfra eBay Search endpoint (ebay/search).

Endpoint contract:
- Request: POST https://api.everyinfra.com/api/v1/social with the header Authorization: Bearer <API key>. Read the key from the EVERYINFRA_API_KEY environment variable and never hard-code it.
- In the request body, set platform to ebay and action to search, and put the parameters inside params.
- Required parameters:
  - keyword: Search term for active listings in search actions, or ended/sold listings in sold actions. Asking prices in active listings should not be assumed to match final transaction amounts.
- Optional parameters:
  - condition: Filters search results by item condition. Preserve capitalization and spaces: New, Used, Refurbished, or For parts or not working. This is an item-condition filter, not a positive or negative review filter.
  - country: A compatibility input for domain that also takes an eBay site domain such as ebay.com, not a country code such as US or DE. When both are present, domain takes precedence.
  - domain: Selects the eBay site domain, such as ebay.com, ebay.de, or ebay.co.uk, without a scheme or path. It defaults to ebay.com and is used to build pages for search, store, and reviews.
  - max_price: Sets a numeric upper bound for item prices in search. Use it with min_price to define a range, and do not assume that shipping or taxes are included.
  - min_price: Sets a numeric lower bound for item prices. Filters active listing prices in search actions and ended/sold listing prices in sold actions.
  - sold_only: Boolean toggle in search actions to return only completed sales when set to true. Must be passed as a JSON boolean, not a string ("false").
  - limit: The most rows to return in this call, an integer from 1 to 50. The default applies when you leave it out, and a call can return fewer rows. Larger values return 422 before any charge. (default: 20)
- Returns a list of records. Main fields of each record: item_id, title, url, price, price_text, currency, condition, shipping, seller, image_url, scraped_at.
- Example request body:
{
  "platform": "ebay",
  "action": "search",
  "params": {
    "keyword": "mechanical keyboard"
  }
}
- Price: $1.39 per 1,000 requests; failed and empty results are not charged.
- For dozens or hundreds of targets, add "mode": "async" to the body: you get a job_id at once and poll GET https://api.everyinfra.com/api/v1/jobs/{job_id} for the result.
- On 422, fix the request using the suggested parameter names and allowed values in the error; on 429 or 503, wait for Retry-After and try again.

Before writing code, ask me which targets I need, how many, which fields, and what output format I want; then confirm the plan and the rough cost with me.

Real response

Captured September 26, 2026 at 08:56 (UTC) by calling this API with the parameters in the code sample above. results and count are that call's real response with personal information (names, handles, avatars, profile links, contact details) removed; the list keeps the first 2. id, billing and quota differ on every call, so only their shape is shown.

urlLink to the record on the platform.
pricePrice as a number without a currency symbol; see currency.

FAQ

How do I get sold prices instead of asking prices?

Set sold_only to true, sent as a JSON boolean rather than a string, to request sold items only. The prices shown are what eBay displays for those items, not independently verified sale amounts. For completed sales over a chosen number of days, with the sale price and date, use eBay Sold listings.

How do I search eBay's UK, German or other sites?

Set domain to that country's eBay site, such as ebay.de or ebay.co.uk, with no https:// prefix and no path; ebay.com is the default. country is an alternative name that also takes a site domain, not a country code such as DE, and domain wins when both are sent. Prices come in that site's currency, so read currency on each row.

Which values does condition take?

New, Used, Refurbished or For parts or not working, written with exactly that capitalization and spacing. It filters by item condition, not by review sentiment. A used item and a new one are effectively different markets, so group listings by condition before you average or compare prices.

Errors and billing

401
Missing or invalid key. Authentication runs before parameter checks, so unauthenticated requests never see the parameter schema.
422
Wrong parameter name or value. The error lists the parameters and allowed values this capability accepts and the closest match; it happens before any charge.
402
Insufficient balance. Top up first.
429
The account's per-minute request limit was reached (all of its API keys count together; a key's own lower limit applies first). Wait for Retry-After and try again; a rate package in the console raises the limit.
503
Could not complete right now. Any charge for the call goes back to your balance automatically, and the billing receipt in the response states the actual outcome, including when it is not yet known. Do not resend blindly.
200 empty
The request completed without data and is not charged (billing.reason = empty_result_refunded).
