Browse Discord's server directory, optionally by category, for each server's description, member and online counts, Boosts, language, tags and verification level. category accepts gaming, entertainment, education, music or science-and-tech; unrecognized values are ignored.
Discord Directory lists public servers from Discord's server directory, optionally narrowed to one category, and returns each server's name, description, member and online counts, Boost count, language, categories and keyword tags, verification level, NSFW flag, creation time, icon, banner and links. It answers which public communities exist around a theme and how lively they are, for community managers benchmarking their own server, game and media marketers looking for where their audience gathers, and researchers mapping communities by topic.
Judge activity by the share of members online, online_count over member_count, which says more than the member total alone. boost_count counts the paid Boosts members have given, and a vanity_url_code shows the server has reached a Boost level threshold. language is the platform's own judgment and can be wrong, and verification_level describes the entry threshold for new members.
Price $1.39 per 1,000 requests ($0.001389 per call). Failed calls and empty results are not charged. Synchronous. For slow jobs add "mode": "async" to the body, take the job_id and poll.
AI prompt
Paste this into your AI assistant. It already holds this endpoint's parameters, response fields and an example request, so the assistant can ask what you need and then write the scraper.
Please help me write a data collection script with the EveryInfra Discord Directory endpoint (discord/directory).
Endpoint contract:
- Request: POST https://api.everyinfra.com/api/v1/social with the header Authorization: Bearer <API key>. Read the key from the EVERYINFRA_API_KEY environment variable and never hard-code it.
- In the request body, set platform to discord and action to directory, and put the parameters inside params.
- No required parameters.
- Optional parameters:
- category: Filters server discovery in directory using preset values: gaming, entertainment, education, music, or science-and-tech. Leaving this unassigned returns unfiltered directory results; unrecognized categories are ignored.
- limit: The most rows to return in this call, an integer from 1 to 100. The default applies when you leave it out, and a call can return fewer rows. Larger values return 422 before any charge. (default: 20)
- Returns a list of records. Main fields of each record: id, name, url, text, member_count, online_count, boost_count, vanity_url_code, language, categories, keywords, icon_url; 17 fields in total, full list at https://api.everyinfra.com/api/v1/social/catalog?platform=discord.
- Example request body:
{
"platform": "discord",
"action": "directory",
"params": {}
}
- Price: $1.39 per 1,000 requests; failed and empty results are not charged.
- For dozens or hundreds of targets, add "mode": "async" to the body: you get a job_id at once and poll GET https://api.everyinfra.com/api/v1/jobs/{job_id} for the result.
- On 422, fix the request using the suggested parameter names and allowed values in the error; on 429 or 503, wait for Retry-After and try again.
Before writing code, ask me which targets I need, how many, which fields, and what output format I want; then confirm the plan and the rough cost with me.Request parameters

platform | body | string | Yes | discord | Platform identifier, fixed value. |
action | body | string | Yes | directory | Capability identifier, fixed value. |
category | body.params | Not declared | No | - | Filters server discovery in directory using preset values: gaming, entertainment, education, music, or science-and-tech. Leaving this unassigned returns unfiltered directory results; unrecognized categories are ignored. |
limit | body.params | integer (1–100) | No | 20 | The most rows to return in this call, an integer from 1 to 100. The default applies when you leave it out, and a call can return fewer rows. Larger values return 422 before any charge. |

Response example
Captured September 26, 2026 at 08:56 (UTC) by calling this API with the parameters in the code sample above. results and count are that call's real response with personal information (names, handles, avatars, profile links, contact details) removed; the list keeps the first 2. id, billing and quota differ on every call, so only their shape is shown.

}Response fields
Business data is in results. The table lists the fields a record can contain; values the platform does not show are never made up.
| Field | Meaning |
|---|---|
id | The record's unique ID on the platform. Unique only within one platform; IDs can repeat across platforms. |
name | Name of the object itself, for account, product and business capabilities. |
url | Link to the record on the platform. |
text | Body text with HTML removed, returned in full and never cut short (on a few platforms the list results themselves carry only an excerpt; the platform's field notes say so). |
member_count | Keeps the platform's own meaning |
online_count | Keeps the platform's own meaning |
boost_count | Keeps the platform's own meaning |
vanity_url_code | Keeps the platform's own meaning |
language | Content language code (for example zh, en) as judged by the platform; it can be wrong. |
categories | Keeps the platform's own meaning |
keywords | Keeps the platform's own meaning |
icon_url | Keeps the platform's own meaning |
banner_url | Keeps the platform's own meaning |
verification_level | Keeps the platform's own meaning |
is_nsfw | Keeps the platform's own meaning |
created_at | Creation time, same format as posted_at. |
directory_url | Keeps the platform's own meaning |
platform | Source platform identifier, the same as platform in the request (for example xiaohongshu, tiktok). |
FAQ
Which categories can I filter by?
Discord Directory's category accepts gaming, entertainment, education, music and science-and-tech. Leave it out to list servers from every category. A category the directory does not recognize is ignored rather than rejected, so a typo quietly gives you unfiltered results; check the spelling, and do not expect arbitrary tags to work as filters.
How do I tell an active server from a large but quiet one?
Compare online_count, the members online at the time of the call, with member_count, the total. A high share online says more about activity than a large total. boost_count, the number of paid Boosts members have given the server, adds a second sign of how invested its community is.
How do I find a specific server or read one in detail?
Discord Directory browses by category. To find servers by name or topic, use the Discord Search capability, which searches the public server directory by keyword. To read one server from an invite, pass the invite code or a discord.gg link to the Discord Server capability; it reads public details and does not join the server for you.
Errors and billing
- 401
- Missing or invalid key. Authentication runs before parameter checks, so unauthenticated requests never see the parameter schema.
- 422
- Wrong parameter name or value. The error lists the parameters and allowed values this capability accepts and the closest match; it happens before any charge.
- 402
- Insufficient balance. Top up first.
- 429
- The account's per-minute request limit was reached (all of its API keys count together; a key's own lower limit applies first). Wait for Retry-After and try again; a rate package in the console raises the limit.
- 503
- Could not complete right now. Any charge for the call goes back to your balance automatically, and the billing receipt in the response states the actual outcome, including when it is not yet known. Do not resend blindly.
- 200 empty
- The request completed without data and is not charged (billing.reason = empty_result_refunded).
