Pull the on-screen bullet comments (danmaku) from a Bilibili video, each with text, playback time, display mode, color and send time. On multi-part videos the rows come from the first part, and they are separate from the comments below the video.
Bilibili On-screen video comments reads the danmaku of one video: the short remarks viewers send while watching, which appear over the picture at a set moment of playback. Each row carries the text, the playback position in video_time and video_time_seconds, the display mode (scrolling, top or bottom), the color, the pool and the time it was sent. Creators, marketers and researchers use it to find the moments that drew reactions, check how viewers took a sponsored segment, or study how audiences talk.
url needs a full video address whose path holds the BV ID, such as https://www.bilibili.com/video/<BV ID>, and on a video with several parts the rows come from the first part. The same link also serves the Bilibili Comments and Subtitles capabilities, so one list of video links covers the discussion below a video, its on-screen comments and a transcript of its speech.
Price $0.56 per 1,000 requests ($0.000556 per call). Failed calls and empty results are not charged. Synchronous. For slow jobs add "mode": "async" to the body, take the job_id and poll.
AI prompt
Paste this into your AI assistant. It already holds this endpoint's parameters, response fields and an example request, so the assistant can ask what you need and then write the scraper.
Please help me write a data collection script with the EveryInfra Bilibili On-screen video comments endpoint (bilibili/danmaku).
Endpoint contract:
- Request: POST https://api.everyinfra.com/api/v1/social with the header Authorization: Bearer <API key>. Read the key from the EVERYINFRA_API_KEY environment variable and never hard-code it.
- In the request body, set platform to bilibili and action to danmaku, and put the parameters inside params.
- Required parameters:
- url: Specifies a full Bilibili video URL, formatted as https://www.bilibili.com/video/<BVID>. The url parameter fetches video comments on comments, first-part timed comments on danmaku, and audio transcription on subtitles, t…
- Optional parameters:
- limit: The most rows to return in this call, an integer of 1 or more. The default applies when you leave it out, and a call can return fewer rows.
- Returns a list of records. Main fields of each record: id, text, video_id, video_time, video_time_seconds, mode, color, pool, sent_at.
- Example request body:
{
"platform": "bilibili",
"action": "danmaku",
"params": {
"url": "https://www.bilibili.com/video/BV1DYjA6KEJ7"
}
}
- Price: $0.56 per 1,000 requests; failed and empty results are not charged.
- For dozens or hundreds of targets, add "mode": "async" to the body: you get a job_id at once and poll GET https://api.everyinfra.com/api/v1/jobs/{job_id} for the result.
- On 422, fix the request using the suggested parameter names and allowed values in the error; on 429 or 503, wait for Retry-After and try again.
Before writing code, ask me which targets I need, how many, which fields, and what output format I want; then confirm the plan and the rough cost with me.Request parameters
| Name | In | Type | Required | Default | Description |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
Authorization | header | string | Yes | - | Bearer followed by your API key. Create it in the console; never put it in a URL or a code repository. |
platform | body | string | Yes | bilibili | Platform identifier, fixed value. |
action | body | string | Yes | danmaku | Capability identifier, fixed value. |
url | body.params | Not declared | Yes | - | Specifies a full Bilibili video URL, formatted as https://www.bilibili.com/video/<BVID>. The url parameter fetches video comments on comments, first-part timed comments on danmaku, and audio transcription on subtitles, treating each as distinct text sources. The danmaku action must be able to extract a valid BV ID from the provided path. |
limit | body.params | integer (1–) | No | - | The most rows to return in this call, an integer of 1 or more. The default applies when you leave it out, and a call can return fewer rows. |

Captured September 26, 2026 at 08:56 (UTC) by calling this API with the parameters in the code sample above. results and count are that call's real response with personal information (names, handles, avatars, profile links, contact details) removed. id, billing and quota differ on every call, so only their shape is shown.

}Response fields
Business data is in results. The table lists the fields a record can contain; values the platform does not show are never made up.
| Field | Meaning |
|---|---|
id | The record's unique ID on the platform. Unique only within one platform; IDs can repeat across platforms. |
text | Body text with HTML removed, returned in full and never cut short (on a few platforms the list results themselves carry only an excerpt; the platform's field notes say so). |
video_id | Keeps the platform's own meaning |
video_time | Keeps the platform's own meaning |
video_time_seconds | Keeps the platform's own meaning |
mode | Keeps the platform's own meaning |
color | Keeps the platform's own meaning |
pool | Keeps the platform's own meaning |
sent_at | Keeps the platform's own meaning |
platform | Source platform identifier, the same as platform in the request (for example xiaohongshu, tiktok). |
FAQ
How do I find the moments viewers reacted to most?
Group the rows by video_time_seconds into short windows, such as ten seconds each, and count the comments in every window. Spikes mark the scenes that set viewers off; read the text inside those windows to learn why. Comparing the spikes with the video's chapters or sponsor slot shows which parts landed.
What is the difference between video_time_seconds and sent_at?
video_time_seconds is where in the video a comment appears, counted in seconds from the start of playback. sent_at is when the viewer posted it. The first tells you which scene people reacted to; the second tells you whether the reaction came on release day or months later.
How do I tie on-screen comments to the video's other data?
video_id holds the BV ID on every row. Use it as the key when you join these rows with Bilibili Subtitles results for the same video, which carry the BV ID in video_id as well, or with the counts that Bilibili Video details returns for the same link.
Errors and billing
- 401
- Missing or invalid key. Authentication runs before parameter checks, so unauthenticated requests never see the parameter schema.
- 422
- Wrong parameter name or value. The error lists the parameters and allowed values this capability accepts and the closest match; it happens before any charge.
- 402
- Insufficient balance. Top up first.
- 429
- The account's per-minute request limit was reached (all of its API keys count together; a key's own lower limit applies first). Wait for Retry-After and try again; a rate package in the console raises the limit.
- 503
- Could not complete right now. Any charge for the call goes back to your balance automatically, and the billing receipt in the response states the actual outcome, including when it is not yet known. Do not resend blindly.
- 200 empty
- The request completed without data and is not charged (billing.reason = empty_result_refunded).

- Bilibili: Official Announcement on Upgrading AV Numbers to BV Identifiers ↗
Bilibili's 2020 announcement defines BV identifiers as video submission IDs containing numbers and case-sensitive letters, distinguishing them from pure numeric AV numbers. This reference only explains video identifier types; this API accepts links per the format above and does not guarantee parsing for all legacy links or multi-part video segments.
