Q: What does sort change?

relevance, the default, keeps AliExpress's own order, and newest lists the latest reviews first. Newest refers to when a review was posted, not when the product was listed. To rank by usefulness, fetch the rows and sort them yourself by helpful_count, the number of times shoppers marked a review helpful.

Collect buyer feedback on an AliExpress product, including star rating, country, variant bought, shipping method, helpful votes and photos. When is_translated is true, text is a translation and original_text holds the reviewer's own words.

AliExpress Reviews reads buyer reviews of one product from its item link. Each row carries the review text, star rating, publish time, the reviewer's name and country, the variant bought, the shipping method used, how many shoppers found the review helpful and the product ID. Cross-border sellers and dropshipping stores use it to check quality before sourcing a product, find defects tied to one color or size, and see how delivery went for buyers in the markets they sell to.

AliExpress sells across borders, so country is worth filtering on: reviews from your own target market tell you the most. sku_info names the color and size bought, and logistics the shipping method. posted_at is normally an ISO 8601 time in UTC, but when AliExpress supplies a date in some other form it arrives unchanged, so parse it defensively. Rows carry product_id, so reviews gathered for many products in one table stay attached to the right item.

Price $1.39 per 1,000 requests ($0.001389 per call). Failed calls and empty results are not charged. Synchronous. For slow jobs add "mode": "async" to the body, take the job_id and poll.

Response fields

Business data is in results. The table lists the fields a record can contain; values the platform does not show are never made up.

Field	Meaning
`review_id`	Keeps the platform's own meaning
`text`	Body text with HTML removed, returned in full and never cut short (on a few platforms the list results themselves carry only an excerpt; the platform's field notes say so).
`rating`	Rating. The scale varies by platform: rating_scale on the same row gives the maximum (usually 5; Booking, Douban, iQIYI and NAVER use 10). Convert with rating_scale before comparing across platforms, or the comparison can come out backwards.
`rating_scale`	Maximum of rating in the same row: 5 for five-star scales, 10 for ten-point scales. Present only when the row has a rating.
`posted_at`	Publish time in ISO 8601, UTC (for example 2026-08-07T12:34:56+00:00). Non-standard strings from the platform are passed through as is, so parse defensively. null means the platform does not disclose it.
`country`	Country or region: a full name or an ISO code depending on the platform, not normalized.
`author`	Keeps the platform's own meaning

`helpful_count`	Keeps the platform's own meaning

`is_translated`	Whether text is a translation (reviews).
`review_labels`	The reviewer's per-aspect labels (reviews), for example fit, quality or value for money, each with its verdict.
`sku_id`	SKU ID of the purchased variant.
`platform`	Source platform identifier, the same as platform in the request (for example xiaohongshu, tiktok).
`images`	Image links: on product capabilities the product gallery in page order, on reviews the buyer's photos.

Which AliExpress link goes in `url`?

The product's item link, shaped like https://www.aliexpress.com/item/3256806025886958.html, the same link AliExpress Product details takes. A store page or a search page does not point to one product. When you only have the numeric product ID, build the item link from it before you call.

Errors and billing

401: Missing or invalid key. Authentication runs before parameter checks, so unauthenticated requests never see the parameter schema.
422: Wrong parameter name or value. The error lists the parameters and allowed values this capability accepts and the closest match; it happens before any charge.
402: Insufficient balance. Top up first.
429: The account's per-minute request limit was reached (all of its API keys count together; a key's own lower limit applies first). Wait for Retry-After and try again; a rate package in the console raises the limit.
503: Could not complete right now. Any charge for the call goes back to your balance automatically, and the billing receipt in the response states the actual outcome, including when it is not yet known. Do not resend blindly.
200 empty: The request completed without data and is not charged (billing.reason = empty_result_refunded).
